Some of the most memorable and tragic scenes from Season 5 occurred at Grady Memorial Hospital. In this deleted scene from The Hollywood Reporter we see Rick and Daryl planning out the eventual trade of Carol and Beth for the two cops.
Rick defiantly tells Daryl, “If it’s Carl and Judith, I’ll do anything. If this goes south, we’ll kill everybody.” Watch the rest of the scene below and look out for The Walking Dead Season 5 on Blu-Ray and DVD with over three hours of bonus footage coming August 25th.
I wish this seem would’ve made it to coda
Rick Grimes is the ultimate badass, the most awesome character in history of everythaang!
I’m glad this scene was cut. Rick Grimes is better than that.
Ehhh… remember the neck biting incident? The Shane-killing moment? The secret-that-everyone’s-infected scene? The deleted-zombie-Lori part? The “they’re-fucking/screwing-with-the-wrong-people” quote?
One factor separates this from the neck bite, killing Shane, & the screwing with the wrong people attitude–there are good, innocent people involved here who didn’t want to stand up to Rick & who helped initiate negotiations. “Kill them all” was The Governor’s mentality, not Rick’s. The above line would be misplaced as it just doesn’t quite fit who Rick is.
Someone said my name? 😉
Gov, you will always be a good Bad Guy to Good Guy comparison! 😉
Agreed, im pretty sure in the comics he says something to the effect of, “we killed because we had to”
If he had said this and didn’t kill everyone afterward, boy howdy would that have been frustrating. After the exchange went bad I was standing in front of the TV yelling “Fucking shoot them all!!!!”, so good thing he didn’t make any promises he couldn’t keep.
If they did leave this scene in the Grady showdown would of went down a lot differently.
