The Walking Dead Episode 812 featured an epic car chase, a fiery Lucille, and the first-ever naked walker on the show. Yes, after teasing such an instance over the break Director/visual effects wizard Greg Nicotero delivered on his promise to bare all with a naked walker this season.
The exposed walker showed up right when Rick cornered Negan into a building as the undead began to surround them. In case you missed it, Nicotero posted a full-body picture of the zombie on Instagram (below) and noted the walker’s gender was deliberately left ambiguous. “There’s some bite marks strategically placed,” he said on Sunday’s Talking Dead. “This person died very painfully.”
If you thought a naked walker was the Everest of unique zombie looks, you haven’t seen anything yet. Walking Dead Creator Robert Kirkman recently told Screen Junkies News about Greg Nicotero’s input on their Season 9 pitch to AMC. “In the pitch, Greg was like, ‘Oh, I can’t wait to get started on that!’ I was like, ‘I can’t wait to see that.’ They’re always coming up with cool new evolutions for the zombies and there’s some big stuff coming up in Season 9 that I’m hinting at and I’ll probably get in trouble for, zombie-wise.” Wait, what’s crazier than naked walkers??
This episode brought a lot of other surprises as well – including Jadis kidnapping Negan and Maggie meeting a new survivor leader who shockingly resembles Governor Pamela Milton from the comics. See how the rest of the season pans out this Sunday when The Walking Dead returns at 9PM with an epic Hilltop battle.
I am surprised that we do not see more naked walkers. I mean once you loose weight and your pants fall off wouldn’t this happen more regularly?
Why is this a big deal again?
Exactly.
Agreed….who cares
Wow look at that… something none of us asked for or cared to see… hmm interesting.
Ya can’t see anything anyway. What good is a fuckin’ naked walker if you totally missed which one it was because it was quick & too far away?
Set amusement.
