The Walking Dead will be making an unprecedented third appearance at Universal Studios Hollywood Horror Night this fall! This includes both of Universal’s theme parks in Orlando and Los Angeles.
Like years past, scenes from the show will inspire the mazes. Horror Nights creative director Mike Aiello hints at what we’ll see along the pathto Terminus: “They’ll be inside the Big Spot where we’re literally building a helicopter above peoples’ heads,” said Aiello. “We’ve got the country club with all the hanging walkers. We’ve got the burned-down moonshine shack that Daryl and Beth find ….”
As with the previous mazes, Greg Nicotero will once again be collaborating with Universal to make the experience as genuine as possible. Nicotero said, “This has been an incredible collaboration and I am thrilled to be working once again with the creative teams at Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood to bring the world of ‘The Walking Dead’ to our dedicated fans.
In addition, Universal promises more walkers. “There will be more scare-actors in this maze than any other in the history of the event,” said Aiello. “Literally double the cast.”
The event will take place from Sept. 19th to November 1st.
I was so sad that I missed this last year! Really hoping I can make it out to Orlando this fall!
