Co-Executive Producer and SFX/Makeup God Greg Nicotero talked with Melty about Season 6, including how the show may have some detours in store from the comics, and how the Wolves are creating a “zombie army.”
What do you think of this new info about the Wolves? What do you think the Wolves plan to do with all the people they’re killing to use as “ammunition?” Comment below and let us know!
I think no matter what it will be handled by the group.

I think it will be a major problem for Alexandria, but may help the citizens see how fortunate they were and how evil some people can be. This will likely lead to Rick becoming the leader(as in the comics)
There might be… “No Way Out” for the ppl behind the wall at Alexandria! Because “What Keeps Them Out, Traps You In!” … See what I did there! Hehe
We don’t know how many walkers there are yet so if there is a swarm or a pack that’s bad for Alexandria. If it’s small or medium pack it’s still bad. Alexandria has a wall it could be knocked down by the swarm/pack. So let’s so what happens can’t wait.
Haha!! Ronny with the zinger! And i 100% agree on the alexandrians not being ready for some herd action, those jerks dont know about the “vast ocean of shit” as abraham so eloquently put it and i can really see alot of them losing their cool when shit goes down, i mean hopefully we’ll have a few warriors by then but only time will tell, cause its gonna happen
The walls will def be tested at the safe zone in season 6 for sure.Im kind of curious to see how these wolves use the walkers against Rick and the community. One thing is that the group have already been in a scenerio at the prison when they were raided by the governor/Woodbury and the horde of walkers.Unfortunately things didn’t pan out right in the end but from they’re experience I think theyll conquer this fight.but I still wish the appearance of the whisperers would’ve came to play.even though they only appeared in the new walking dead books.i don’t believe the wolves will represent negans group the saviors at all.Its way to early to introduce that sequence.Ill have to admit I like the fact how AMC and Robert kirkman are showing all different types of survivors during this apocalypse.Everything from the governor, the (claimed)group, cannibals and the wolves!I know someone on here already made the comic book (No Way Out) reference and I’m on the same boat with that prediction.

Oh, that make perfect sense. And it seems like it could be a cool adaptation/re-imagining of the “No Way Out” arc. Rather than attracting nearby herds and large concentrations of walkers due to the noise of Pete’s execution and the gunfight with the Scavengers(Wolves); they’re having the Wolves build the mega-herd(or “zombie army” as mentioned here). So, it seems the Scavengers showdown and “No Way Out” will be combined. The Wolve’s will finally mount their attack on the safe zone; leading their offensive assault with a vanguard of the undead followed by their “zombie army”. Most likely; the Wolves themselves will be dispatched and eliminated swiftly and brutally. But the mega-herd will create a much larger, and longer lasting problem that will forever leave it’s mark on the safe zone and some of our most beloved survivors(hint, hint. Get it, “leave it’s mark”? LOL)
