The Walking Dead Postmortem: Are the People of Terminus Cannibals? TV Guide asks Robert Kirkman & Scott Gimple
“Are the People of Terminus Cannibals?” Oh, how they love to mess with us!!!
Yes, I just finished reading the article myself. They just keep playing with me!
Now,
they raise the possibility with me that the Terminus people maybe just
had a big battle – they won – with cannibals who killed a whole bunch of
their people?
Thus, the No Trust, Never Again, and all the candles lit in memory of those they lost?
Of course, that doesn’t explain all the bloody human bones lying around, you’d think they’d be long buried out of respect.
But
now, like you say :), they are messing with me and it’s working! At
least I know that nothing I have definitively made up my mind over will
be true – I can’t break my track record! lol
This is what they do…. they wanna see us here, on FB, Twitter, forums, etc. debating, pondering, wondering. They drive us crazy & they know it & I love it!!
in the “are people at terminus cannibals” interviews does anyone else read anything in to the comments Kirkman makes about Rick and Michonne’s “bond” read between the lines could Michonne take on the “Andrea” role from the comics #Richonne anyone?
This thought was put out there a while back. I thought it stemmed from something going on with Michonne & Rick in the comic, but I never read anything that indicated there was something. You know, the way they talk, they like to tickle people’s ear so that the rumors, speculations, etc. start flying like mad!
The rumour mill never stops on planet kirkman, I think I would be Ok with Michonne and Rick getting together thought, they both need a bit of love in there life.
I’d be fine with it. In the show, they really wouldn’t “pair” with anyone else better.
They are ideally suited, if you hadn’t read the comics would you think that Ricks confidence at the end of this episode would be misplaced? I always try to watch it from a point of view of someone that hasn’t read the comics but its hard sometimes.
I try to separate the two as well and I agree, it’s no easy task! Of all the characters on the show, I think Rick “flips back and forth” from one type of personality to the next. In the comic, he seems less… bipolar. I don’t think his moment of confidence is misplaced, however I think he “flipped” really quickly. That is one episode that I’ll have to go back and watch (certain ones I do, because you always pick up little things you missed earlier) and then I’ll be a better judge. How ’bout you?
I normally get to the end of a season before I start to re watch the whole season again over a glorious weekend. lol But like you a may have to watch the last episode again, since kirkman is saying that there are lots of little things hidden.
I guess my age is telling on me. There seems to always be parts that I miss. Like I’m reading that there were people yelling for help as the crew were being herded, with one sounding like they were calling Daryl’s name and there was a cross somewhere on another train car. These are things that I didn’t pick up on. One good thing about it is that I DO go back & watch & I get to enjoy the show a second time!
Yeah you could hear people shouting for help, sounded like it was coming from one of the containers that were stacked up. Cant remember them shouting on daryl tho? I also didnt see a cross. I was thinking about the bones that you see, I cant remember seeing anything 100% to say it was human? But a have read where people are saying they saw skulls?
Highly unlikey. They won a big battle and then immediately went into welcome wagon mode?
The fresh human carcasses, that bbq runnin’ 24/7, they’ve already divided up Glenn/Maggie/etc. possessions (signalling they won’t be needing them)? If all that isn’t foreshadowing Termini are cannibals it’s one hell of a plot bait and switch that is going to come off looking really lame.
I love your use of “Termini” instead of “Termites”. Even though that came from Andrew Lincoln, it’s unnerving to me.
this is a page from the comics that has almost the exact same line rick says in the end, it’s issue 64. he says this right before they take down the hunters, so my gues is that terminus is indeed the home of the hunters.
