about time there were some acting nods too. do you think people are just watching for the visual effects? C’mon, Emmys…. Get a clue!
Why no nominations for acting? The actors/acting is what makes this show so popular.
JUST Effects & Sound?! They pick 6 shows & EVERY nom is from just those 6!
Know what? TWD don’t need no stinking Emmy to be great; it only lacks intelligence in the nomination dept to recognize it!!!
I’m waiting for the damn winner still….
Find a comment from Lizzy & mention it directly. I did that a little while back with the Horror Movies thread.
Melissa McBride (Carol) being left out of the Best Supporting Actress nominations is ludicrous. She was phenomenal in Season 4. That’s just to start. Has to be politics at work. Good thing I don’t base my show watching decisions on Emmy’s. Come on October!
1 ^ x 10!
I upvoted myself. Now we just need 8 more lol.
Logging out & voting as “Guest”. I got about 7 devices…I can hook you up, lol!
I think McBride is good but if I were to pick one actor from Season 4 to get an Emmy nomination it would be Scott Wilson for sure.
I think this was definitely Scott Wilson’s best season. He was overlooked as well. I think they just can’t get past it being a “show about zombies” (i.e., they don’t get it).
Brighton Sharing (Lizzie) should be nominated. She did an amazing job. Her character was so disturbing you couldn’t look away.
Pretentious crap like Downton Abbey gets in Best Drama, yet this show does not.
I never understand why The Walking Dead is not recognized for it’s actors. I mean, I really don’t care much about the Emmy’s, but I am getting tired of the show only being looked at for visual effects and sound. I mean, at least give the writers of the show some credit guys! I recall a very heart wrenching monologue given by Morgan in Episode 312 “The Clear.” I recall thinking to myself “pure poetry, and in the midst of a show about zombies, this show has everything.” Hell, my grandmother started off hating this show and was disgusted by the gore, but then she actually sat down and listened and is now addicted. Anyway, what about the other actors in the show. Andrew Lincoln is a wonderful actor, with so much emotion, Melissa McBride is fantastic, especially in the scene with Lizzie, Norman Reedus managed to keep a character on the show who was only suppose survive into as far as season one, Steven Yuen with that transition from innocent Glen to “merciful hell, don’t piss off Glen!” Scott Wilson was also a huge favorite, and when he died, not a dry eye anywhere, and then David Morrissey was one scary bastard, awesome writing and great acting took a somewhat comic-book style villain and turned him into a real world monster. I mean come on people at the Emmy’s, we’re waiting.
10 ^!!
