Over the break AMC released a new poster for the back half of season 4, and like the other season posters they put out, it looks fantastic.

I think the 2nd half is gonna be more about Carl and less about Rick
ageed. i was almost sure, though, that rick would die this season…i was all prepared, until i looked on imbd, and season 5, episode one has a description, and its like “rick and the others travel to dc, where he must once again protect them from a new enemy.” how dare they!
They may find a train… ? Maybe live on it for awhile.
I can’t see RIck’s right hand in this poster. Could it be something subtle related to what happens to his hand in the comics?

I don’t think his right hand is cut off like how it is in the comics, it looks like Carl is blocking the way to see his right hand.
(SPOILERS)They very likely won’t do that, Robert Kirkman extremely regrets cutting off his hand in the comics, so I doubt that he’d do it in the show as well, plus it’d be harder to film.

In all previous posters, Rick is alone, with no one to help him. In the season 4 part 2 poster, Rick is no longer alone and must rely upon his son to help him survive.

I hear a lot of people talking about the Hunters coming up real soon, but in the comics we left off around issue 48, no one seems to remember those rednecks on the road. They could quite possibly cover that on the show, probably more drawn out than in the comic. I just don’t know if the Hunters will make it this season. Possibly beginning of season 5, or the 4 finale at the soonest I would think. They have to pace themselves or the show will catch the comic and run out of source material!

i would be so mad if they really do shoot carls eye in the show…..ricks hand would just be herchel all over again.
Why? The show is already watered down enough with barely any real time consequences to anything. Shooting Carl in the face would show that anyone is in danger of death, would make Carl darker, and it would even be an easy constant injury for the prop department to pull off since all they would need to keep consistency is a big eye patch. Nothing about shooting him is bad.
Honestly I hope they backtrack and go to some of the places they didn’t go to in the first 50 issues. Such as the gated community. I just feel like the show is moving awfully fast and I fear the day that they pass the comic.
very interesting. They both are walking on train tracks, as we all know only has 2 directions. Forward or backwards, but in the poster they both can’t help looking back just a bit… No one knows where they are going without knowing where they came from. I think it’s a fantastic poster. I think rick will die this season- i mean, the past 4 years, the poster is of rick- now this one is pretty much carl. Robert kirkman said that one of the deaths this season would be a ‘real shocker’ who’s death would be more shocking than ricks?
Kirkman was probably talking about Hershel. I can’t see Rick dying in this show until they’re ready to end the show entirely and that may depend on this spin-off they’re working on for next year.
very true, though kirkman was talking this second half of the season. and as well, i think carl is growing up, and he would get some character development if rick died. now, of coarse, thats just how i picture it. agree or disagree, i could be right or wrong. thank you for replying!
I was wondering if you were referring to something Kirkman said about the second half of the season. If they killed Rick off, that would certainly be a shocker!! But so would Daryl (& Kirkman said, “Don’t dare me!”, regarding killing Daryl off). Or Glen/Maggie. Or Michonne. Lol! I know not a soul’s safe but it always has that shock factor for me when an “established” character has been killed off!! That’s one thing I love about the show! Cannot WAIT for Feb 9!!!
i know….man i would be mad if daryl died, and robert kirkman also said that that perdon who died was one that didnt die in the comics….daryl and beth were never in the comics, so technicly they didnt die in them….interesting…..
& Kirkman seems like the kinda guy that you can’t take literally on stuff like that. He’s gonna keep us pondering!!
Rick has always been the main person in this story, it seems like the whole story line is all around him. Rick will die if either Andrew Lincoln wants out of the show, or the show wants us to have such a big shocker. And your right, I mean the poster is mainly focused on Rick. They might be having Carl as the center of attention in 4×09, but I think Robert Kirkman was referring the real shocking death as someone like Daryl,Beth, or Maggie. Daryl and Beth don’t exist in the comics, so technically we don’t know their faith, but after Hershel dies Maggie tries to hang herself in the comics. They could make it the opposite than have her fail in the comics, and have her die like that..

there has been a lot of talk about daryl and beth getting together.
i, for one, do not believe that. i would rather see him with carol. and their couple names- Darol and Caryl- are a lot better than Barrel and Death.
