USA Today has a really good short interview with actress Danai Gurira about Michonne and her relationship to the group. I know there’s been some discussion about Michonne in the comics vs Michonne in the show, and how maybe she isn’t given enough screen time, or doesn’t kick enough ass, but it’s a marathon, not a sprint. I think show-Michonne kicks a lot of ass and we’ll only see more and more of her character and personality as the show goes on. Anyway, click here to check out the interview, I think Danai has some good insight into where Michonne is at right now on the show.
Without straying too far into spoiler territory, what do you guys think of show-Michonne vs comic-Michonne?
I love her in both. I don’t like the way Rick is treating her in the show because she has shown her merit, but then again, Rick is losing his sh**, so he might even get rid of Glenn, who knows.
i think people have to realize that the comics vs the show is the fact that the show needs to build and grow if it just jumped into what and who everyone in the comics are and is then the show wouldn’t last it needs to be this way to thrive and go on !!
