Everyone’s been tweeting us about the storm in Atlanta and sending us photos and I have to admit that it is just surreal. Take a look:

If that doesn’t look enough like TWD for you, here’s a straight comparison:

The only thing missing is the sweat stains.
For all our fans, friends, and colleagues in Atlanta, stay warm and safe!
Thanks to GeekFilter for the post idea and thanks to The Washington Post, who has a really great photo gallery with even more images that you should check out.

Stay safe ATL!!
At least no one got bitten
They’re biting each other’s heads off about who’s to blame, lol!
road rage……
if you were in the show, what character do you think you’d be?
If you mean a current character, I’d have to go with Michonne. If they wrote me in, I’d probably be another Andrea… but the comic book Andrea.
I don’t need to ask you… I know you’d be right by Carl’s side! 😉
haha yessss i wonder if there is a character in the comics that is in love with carl…besides dead sophia?
The point where I’m currently at in the comics, Carl’s too young. He plays with Sophia.
Even though you didnt ask me ill chime in anyway.. lol [;
I’d be Abraham.
I like how he carries himself and im the exact same way.
Great question by the way.
You’re most welcome 🙂
The weather was like that from Atlanta to Alabama
Some people don’t understand most of the southern states don’t have the ice trucks or snow plows to clear the roads off like they do up in the northern states. So when ice and snow hits it shuts down mostly everything. So trying to drive on a sheet of ice is not too easy at all.
1st, as a native of Atlanta, it wasn’t snow, it was ice. Slushy snow fell really quickly getting all the roads soaked and then the temperature plummeted. It all happened within two hours. This type of weather is rare here. We are all also rather skeptical when the weather man announces, “Snow – freezing temperatures!” because they say it so many times and nothing happens. We all woke to a chilly but clear day when we went to work; when it started snowing it wasn’t sticking to any pavement so we were lulled into a false sense of “nothing to worry about”. Then the temps plummeted and everything froze – unfortunately right in the middle of huge traffic jam caused by releasing employees and schools at the same time to get home. (Most people didn’t even have a sweater or jacket on or in the car. We don’t keep chains for our tires handy because they aren’t regularly needed. Most of the time, we just stay home and wait it out.) The salt trucks couldn’t maneuver through the traffic to help with the ice and the snow plows also could not clear the streets with so many cars in the way. Those “in control” are always afraid of the criticism from “crying wolf” or, in the case, “ICE, ICE, GET HOME NOW!!!!” and nothing happens and everyone is just fine. Personally, I would rather them “err on the side of caution” and be laughed at for making a big deal over nothing, than have what happened, happen. It’s always easy to criticize in retrospect. I think they just need to drop it and learn from the mistakes.
2nd – I think it would be great if The Walking Dead producers used some of the photos that “look like a scene from the Walking Dead” in the show somewhere, sometime. I would love to see snow and ice written into the plot somewhere – how they manage to stay warm – what happens to the zombies, etc. Anyhow, don’t be so critical of us Southerners when it comes to snow and ice – we just aren’t prepared for it because it is such a rare thing down here. Shoot, you ought to live in Atlanta and see what it’s like just when it rains hard, you would think people have lost their minds.
Oh, P.S. If you really want to see what all the fuss was about – check out YouTube and type in “snow in Atlanta” . There are several good clips of cars sliding around on the ice and hitting each other like bumper cars at a fair. Insurance adjusters are very busy right now.
