Add pool party to the list of ways Walking Dead star Andrew Lincoln is being honored after announcing he was leaving the show in Season 9. Lincoln, who confirmed the months-long rumors at San Diego Comic Con, has been showered with praise by cast, crew, and fans alike ever since.
Comicbook.com’s Brandon Davis asked Cooper Andrews, who plays King Ezekiel’s cheery second-in-command Jerry if they had some sort of wrap party for the Rick Grimes actor. “We did. I hope that’s not a secret, but we did,” Andrews revealed. “It was a nice pool party. We got to see cast imitating other cast! But it was just a nice farewell and a big thank you day for him.”

Cooper Andrews, who used to be a boom mic operator in earlier Walking Dead seasons and is also starring in DC’s upcoming Shazam! movie, described what Andrew Lincoln’s last day on set was like. “It was rough, that last day,” he said. “That last day was rough.” As tough as it was, Andrews has nothing but good things to say about the Rick Grimes actor.
“He’s the kind of actor that the first day, is super-happy to have as his number-one. So that means, for any new cast that comes in, we welcome them as he would. He just gave us all an example that we have to set. And as far as the story goes, I really feel like the characters are kind of in that same light, that they’re all doing what … with him being gone from the set, these characters are trying to do, or trying to honor, what he’s done.”

If Scott Gimple was in the pool I would have stood next to him in the pool and pee…..
