Should be an interesting season! Looks like Rick and Morgan will be at odds! But I hope it sticks pretty close to the comic. Can’t wait for Neganto show up!
It’s definitely a poster of two halves.
On one side we have some main characters from Alexandria plus Gabriel, all of them staring at the two central characters in the image. If I *had* to choose I’d say they were looking at Rick.
And opposite them are Rick’s group with all of them, I’d say, looking, heck – glaring balefully at – the Alexandrians.
I don’t see a lot of sweetness, light and contentedly trusting expressions from either side – which is just as well as I don’t want to fall asleep while watching!
Rick and Morgan are gonna kiss!!
I see chaos brewing. I see anarchy coming. And out of it a new counsel is born. Not like the prisons. Rick Morgan Daryl Michonne Glenn Abraham and Maggie as Deanna’s liaison to authority. Total authority over Alexandria. After Deanna finds out Morgan.. another person who contributes to Rick being there at that very moment is apart of the original group and the choas he survived on his own that’s coming. She’ll have no other choice but to let Rick take over and things are going to change. I can’t wait to see how this plays out
One way to look at it is that Morgan could be mad at Rick for what he’s done but soon to understand that this is a WORLD of Survival and you can’t have some Maniac running around trying to kill people, And as we seen Morgan seems to be a man of peace but that wont stop him from defending him self or his loved ones. He was there for Rick and Rick was there for him a month after the apocalypse. Let’s not also forget about the Wolves, which seems that they’re gonna be a threat to the group and Alexandria. We might also expect Deanna to let Rick Take Control of Alexandria, but always remember The World Is All About Survival, The New Worlds Gonna Need Rick Grimes.
I’m saddened by the fact that Carl is such a background character in the show, while he’s basically a deuteragonist in the comics. I hope the THING from the comics happens to him this season.
There are obviously two halves. Anyone with their back to the houses are with Alexandria, anyone with their back to the wall is with Rick, and anyone with their body faced forward is stuck inbetweening wanting both groups to work together. I think since Rick and Tyreese didn’t have that power battle in the prison, Rick and Morgan will have it here. Morgan is the symbol for humanity and Rick is the symbol for survival.
This knock down drag out was comparable to Rick vs. The Gov:
I gotta go against the grain (which I love to do, if I can) & say that I don’t think there will be heavy conflict between the way we see the survivors divided in this image, least of all between Rick & Morgan. I think that they may be trying to decide how to handle the Wolves & might have different ideas on that, as well as still getting adjusted & compromising on each other’s survival tactics… but division? No. Looks to me like Morgan might be considering whatever it is that Rick wants to convince him of.
I can’t wait to re-watch this season (WHEN’S THE S5 LE REVEAL COMING?!), particularly that finale, so that I can try to reason for myself why that coward Father Gabriel is tucked back there behind Deanna. The walker kill & the prayer circle kinda gave me a little hope for him.

So you think this is the shows version of a cover bluffer / kirk-jerk ?
They have def created the image with the view to making it look like a divide in the group, but i cant see that happening, not with other threats on the horizon.
I still identify them as separate groups…. they’re not completely united. I think they’re still trying to come together & yes, there will be a little head-butting, but the battle is gonna be between the inside & outside of that wall.
I definitely agree with you but they are gonna have to work as a group in this season because of those wolves. Weve been seeing that W since season 3 i believe. Its gonna be super exciting I cant wait to add it to my collection!
The 2 additional things i noted here are:
1 – Birds! We haven’t exactly been seeing those so far…
2 – I’m not positive if it was already there or not but that bell tower looks like it’s been hit by some sort of explosive / fire.
