October is so very far away, and it’s easy to slip into TWD show withdrawal. Here are 10 signs that you’ve been bitten by the bug (get it? Because zombies) and won’t be recovering any time soon…
1. You spend your weekend browsing Home Depot for the best zombie-fighting weapons.
2. You’ve got a countdown going to October 2014, written in blood, no less.
3. You spend hours writing Rick/Daryl slash fiction.
4. You binge. You binge the show, the comic, the novels, the games—anything and everything you can get your hands on!
5. Every BBQ you attend instantly devolves into you screaming ‘TERMINUS IS A LIE! IT’S A LIE’ over and over.
6. You dress your pug up as Michonne.
7. You carry an old phone around that you use to ‘talk’ to Robert Kirkman.
8. Your pantry consists entirely of 7 lb cans of pudding.
9. When you take a sip of water, you hear Hershel saying, “You risk your life!”
10. You grow a mullet and start substitute teaching science classes. Uninvited.
The solution to TWD withdrawal? We don’t have one, other than reading all of the comics, but if you have a way of coping that works, make sure you comment and share it below!
Number 10- Potential TV spoiler?
How? It’s just a picture of Eugene.
The caption mentions being a science teacher though..
I can’t wait to see my frequented message boards that day.
Comic secrets!
Shhhhh! SECRETS.
My lips are sealed from here on out!
I usually check this site 10 times a day looking for a new post .
Yeah ummmm sometimes more then that
11…..I only check this site 11 times a day……!!!!
11 times an HOUR I heard . . . .
They’re all RUMORS, I tell ya!
Lol, going to start “the road to woodbury” tonight 🙂
Normally, I would be watching an old ep on Sunday nights but the family is telling me that they’re burned out. These novel releases should help take up this gap, but gotta wait until Oct. for the next one! Ugh!
Awesome..
Maybe checking the site 10+ times a day should have been one of the signs!
Goes beyond withrawal, I’m afraid! Especially if the frequency doesn’t change while the show is on! lol
Check implies you actually ever close the tab…
Shhhhh! SECRETS!
I’ve been getting that a lot lately…
Stick around long enough & you’ll become just like us, fair warning, lol!
Ah, no, I await that moment eagerly!
Ah! I’ve got you beat! I check it 112 times a day!!! (Must say in Carl’s voice)
Not very comforting, given my MO!
:casually has it open as a permanent tab on browser:
my wife hogs the computer so I’m mainly on here on my phone.
I can’t wait to upgrade my phone so that I can check this site on all 5 devices….ooops! Not me….I only check this site 11 times and I do NOT have it set as one of my homepage tabs!!!!
Lol !
There is no such thing as a seven pound can.
You think that GIANT can was only 11 ounces? http://www.amazon.com/Bakers-Chefs-Chocolate-Pudding-112/dp/B00448333A
Lol, maybe not but it definitely wasn’t measured in pounds.
According to Josh it was, but cans are not measured in pounds. That was my point.
It actually says right on the can, “NET WT. 7 lbs.”
16 oz. = 1 Lb
112 oz. = 7 Lb
My point is, cans are not measured in pounds. Thanks for the lesson.
Carl disagrees with you.
11 oz is less than a pound, you are incorrect sir
It was 112 oz lol
Look I work for a playground company and I have my own special parts that I would use in case the outbreak would ever happen. I even got my way out already planned and there is an asian kid there and I call him Glen…He tells me I have an obessive complusive disorder I say nah nah Glen I’m just ready
Could you get me a deal on a monkey bars dome? I got the barbed wire!
I think about different apocalypse scenarios… Right now I’m trying to decide if a dog or horse would be better in the apocalypse.. Horse good for travel .. Dog good for hunting and guarding /watching..
LOL
I want to be Tyreese ..
Ok, apparently I have to say this more than once. Carl ate a 112 oz can of pudding!!! Not 11 oz! Fake fans all up in here lol
I hate TWD withdrawl. I’m reading the comics again, I’m reading the novels and I’m constantly rewatching the show. It does work out though. The seasons line up perfectly. Half the year: TWD is on tv, the other half: summer blockbuster nerd films and nerd conventions galore. My inner geek is at peace.
If we were taking votes on who’s suffering most, mine would be for the guys on this thread debating the size of that pudding can. You guys got it bad, no doubt!
I went to a BBQ at the weekend and asked for a tainted meat burger, no one knew what I was talking about . . . it was at that point that I realised that not everyone is as obsessed as I am.
hilarious cat videos on youtube usually pass the time pretty well 🙂
Mine are Sparta remixes & anything that incorporates Voldemort’s laugh.
I do #4 a lot. It’s bad. And not even in chronological order, I’ll just find myself reading a particular part of the series, and suddenly hours pass. Then I just stop, right in the middle of what I was reading and go do something else, then when I get the urge to read something from it again, it’s likely completely different part and I won’t finish it either…
I suffered TWD withdrawal once. I was out at a shopping center and a man passed out. I instinctively yelled out “he’s been bit!” no one got the joke and mistook me for some mad man.
Wait- not everyone eats 7 lbs of pudding everyday?
I’ve read all the comics, played all the games and I’ve read around 200 ZA type books and I’ve only just discovered TWD and ZA books two years ago. I’d say about 75% of the books are rubbish but even those it help ease the withdrawal from TWD. I’m not your average TWD addict I’m a 26 year old stay at home mother. When I’m in the garden I always imagine what tool I would use if attacked by zombies at that moment. I can’t so much as glance at the RV without thinking of Dale. Heck I even dream of TWD, my favorite dream involved Rick but if I wrote about that this comment would be deleted due to the graphic nature of the dream lol. I read all the comics within five or six nap times, had I known there was only 127 of them I would have read slower because they are fantastic. Kirkman is a genius. This obsession/hobby/addiction all started because I couldn’t find anything to watch and landed on TWD. It does totally suck that we have to wait for October but that makes it all the more exciting and definitely worth the wait, unless Rick, Daryl, or Michonne dies then I shall be extremely angry and instead of imagining zombies I will be imaging hunting down the writers with my gardening tools.
Oh you GOT to stick around & get to know us! You fit right in….welcome to the site!!!
