Our Week Ten character Power Rankings shifted greatly thanks to the ongoing investigation into Lydia’s background and the introduction of her mother Alpha, the leader of the Whisperers. See how it all shook out below.
1. Michonne
Michonne didn’t appear in this episode but she still runs the most powerful community in The Walking Dead. So for now, we’re keeping her at the top spot.
2. Daryl
Tara may be running Hilltop but Daryl’s calling the shots. His strategy to use Henry to extract information from Lydia was nearly flawless, and if Hilltop wants to stand a chance against Alpha and her army they’ll need him.
3. Tara
Speaking of, Tara may not be playing as large of a role in these interrogations as Daryl but she still technically leads Hilltop, so she belongs in the Top 5.
4. Carol
Henry’s heart-breaking story about Carol’s hair finally answered the question of why she resembled Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher after the six-year time jump.
5. Ezekiel
As the leader of Kingdom Ezekiel has earned the right to stay high up in the rankings. Expect to see more him next week.
6. Alpha (NEW)
Alpha’s backstory and end-of-episode arrival at Hilltop made it easy to add her to our list. We know what her comic counterpart is capable of, but her show self is still a mystery. Expect to see her rise a LOT in the coming weeks.
7. Aaron (-1)
Aaron’s significant role on Alexandria’s council allows him to stay in the Top 10.
8. Father Gabriel (-1)
Same goes for Gabriel.
9. Henry (+9)
Henry’s the biggest riser this week because of his closeness to Lydia. Sure, Daryl was using him, but his bond with Alpha’s daughter gives him more power than he’s ever had.
10. Siddiq (-2)
We’re moving Siddiq down to make room for Henry and Alpha, sorry dude.
11. Judith (-2)
Same for Judith and the others.
12. Magna (-2)
Ditto for Magna, but we are excited to see her take a prominent role at her new home in Hilltop (even though she was trying to usurp Tara by leaving to find Luke.
13. Yumiko (-2)
^^^
14. Kelly (+1)
Kelly gets a bump up this episode for standing up to Magna and lobbying to stay out in the wilderness to find Luke. More of this please.
15. Connie (+1)
Connie proved herself as a loyal friend this episode – just wait till you see what she does next week!
16. Lydia (+5)
Now that her mother has arrived with a small army to Hilltop, Lydia suddenly holds a lot of power. Giving her up won’t be easy, and with Daryl and Henry tied to her things are bound to get complicated. Stay tuned…
17. Jerry (-5)
We really really hate to move Jerry down, but we grade on a recency bias so until he returns we have to move him down. Thankfully, we’ll see a lot more of him in next week’s episode.
18. Enid (-5)
Ditto for Enid.
19. Rosita (-5)
And Rosita.
20. Eugene (-3)
…and Eugene.
21. Alden (-2)
Since Alden and Luke are still “missing” we have to keep moving them down our list.
22. Luke (-2)
^^^
23. Negan (-1)
We also hate putting Negan at the bottom, but since he’s locked up he doesn’t really hold any cards.
That wraps up our character Power Rankings for Week Ten! Let us know in the comments what YOU thought of the list and join us next week to see how it changes again.
