Our Fear the Walking Dead character Power Rankings exponentially grew this week with the addition of four new cast members. Since it’s difficult to rank them before they interact with the rest of our group we applied a semi-recency bias and placed them in the middle. We kept our mains like Alicia, John, June, and Strand ahead of them, but if the newbies step up we have no qualms with swapping them out.
(Also – didn’t mean to single out Charlie for the featured image, but SOMEONE has to be in the down column). And with that, here are our character Power Rankings for Week Eleven of Season 4:
1. Morgan
How do you accidentally get driven to Mississippi? Regardless of his location and betrayal by his new friends, Morgan is now focused on finding his crew back in Texas (which is probably for the best considering The Walking Dead would be in the middle of a time jump. NEVER interrupt someone when they’re in the middle of a time jump). With Madison dead it seems like Morgan has taken the reigns of this show, and for that we’re keeping him at the top of our list.
2. Althea
Althea may not have been featured this episode but her SWAT truck and fighting skills still give her an edge over the other characters. All of that will be challenged next week when Al becomes extremely ill. And what’s more dangerous than a potentially fatal illness? Losing a spot on our Power Rankings.
3. Alicia (+2)
We chose not to update our Power Rankings last week because only Alicia and Charlie appeared in the episode and that would be a super boring update. So instead, Alicia’s reaping the benefits this week after her incredible performance in the hurricane house.
4. John (-1)
John Dorie has missed the last two episodes so we’re regretfully moving him down a spot until he re-appears. Is there a ‘More John Dorie Now’ button we can push?
5. June (-1)
Same goes with June – we haven’t seen her so we’re bumping her down. Thankfully, June will play a huge role in next week’s episode so look out for that.
6. Strand
As fun as partying in an abandoned apocalyptic mansion sounds, we miss the old Strand. An uninspired DGAF Strand is only fun for a second, so hopefully his accidental adventure with John will put a fire under his ass to find new meaning in life.
7. Sarah (NEW)
That brings us to our first new character to the series. Mo Collins’ Sarah is amazing, and even though she left Morgan high and dry on that van we’re still happy to have her on. Expect to see a lot more of her throughout the season.
8. Wendell (NEW)
Sarah’s “twin” Wendell is the comedy relief that this show needs. So what if he’s cantankerous? That’s his charm! Believe us, we ?? need ?? Wendell ??.
9. Jim (NEW)
A beer brewer named Jim Brauer?? Are you kidding me? His last name is basically brewer. We LOVE when the show gives us passionate characters with a (mostly) fleshed-out backstory. Jim just wants to give the world beer whenever it decides to return to normal. Is this an insane idea that sounds more like a Bud Light ad then a practical mission? Yes. Do we still love it? Yes.
10. Luciana (-3)
Last we saw Luciana she was searching for Charlie in the storm. But um, since Alicia already found Charlie then where tf is Luciana?? We will find that out sometime soon!
11. Charlie (-3)
Charlie SHOULD get bumped up for her character growth from last episode but she just hasn’t proven to be more powerful than the three newbies we added this week. We can all agree that after Episode 410 Charlie is a lot more bearable, but that doesn’t mean she’s a lot more powerful. Until that changes we’re keeping this 11-year-old towards the bottom.
12. ??? (NEW)
The audience doesn’t know anything about Fear’s new nameless villain other than the fact she has a radio, she writes on walkers with Sharpie, and is dirty as all hell. In fact, AMC labels her “Dirty Woman” and “Filthy Woman” in most of the images they send out. But don’t get comofrtable with seeing her at the bottom for too long…expect ol’ sloppy to ride the Rankings very soon.
That wraps up our Fear the Walking Dead Power Rankings for Week Eleven. See you next week!
Ol’ Sloppy Jo! Love it, I feel like we really don’t know if she is a villain or not yet, mysterious yes, but evil? Maybe not, she could just be lonely and wookin-po-nub! She seems to me like a desperate person, outcast type, maybe she will connect with Morgan and they will be friends… or not, love the new Fear!!! This show has really come along way from the first season and I hope that it keeps evolving and changing with the story!! It has been sad to see characters go but this is the apocalypse and no one is really safe in this world, except for maybe Morgan… He doesn’t die, everyone else does!!
Great ideas, i love your article. It gives me more ideas on home to organize my room with my shoes and stuff for my children.Keep up the good work
