Fear the Walking Dead has officially been picked up for Season 6 by AMC. Executive Producer and Skybound CEO David Alpert announced the renewal at Fear’s San Diego Comic Con panel. Showrunner Andrew Chambliss also revealed the world will have grown by the start of the new season. “Without giving something away, the world is going to expand in a big way and by the time we get to the end of the season, it is really going to shake the entire group to the very core and really change the show in a way that will launch us into season six, in a really big way,” Chambliss said. “…There’ll be a big change at the end of season five.”
Along with the new characters and groups teased in Fear’s Season 5B trailer (see below), The Walking Dead Universe will also expand thanks to the recently-announced Untitled Walking Dead movie. We’ve already seen a similar helicopter to the one that picked Rick up show up in Fear Season 5, but it’s still unclear if that storyline will return beyond this season.
“We really see season five as one big epic story, but as you’ll see if you continue to watch, it all builds to an ending which very much sets up what the design of season six is going to be and we’ve been planning it for a while,” co-Showrunner Ian Goldberg added. “When you go back and watch it all, (what happens) might seem inevitable.”
Fear the Walking Dead returns for the second half of Season 5 on Sunday, August 11th on AMC.
Goldberg and Chambliss have ruined this show the past 2 seasons…they need to be fired or this show needs to be cancelled…
Lol that’s a good one seeming as this show doesn’t fallow any comics at all so they can do with the show as they please Mr dice
Yeah…I know this is seperate from the comics…Ive read them for the past 6 years till they just ended…This show has went from being good to being garbage that doesnt make any sense the past 2 years…Magically knowing how to fly a plane…magically crashing a plane and everybody walking away…magically knowing how to scale a cliff…magically knowing how to work on a plane and being able to assemble a plane out of pieces…magically knowing how to fly a hot air baloon…magically having a propeller from a different plane being exchangable with the plane they are working on…magically dumb enough to get on said plane even though they already crashed one…I could go on…and on….and on…
It’s a show about zombies. What do you want? It’s supposed to be unbelievable at times. Get with it
If you cant tell the difference between the first 3 seasons and the last 2 creatively…I dont know what to tell you…Ratings dont lie…
I think it’s more than fine I love the way they are building the suspense
. “…There’ll be a big change at the end of season five.”
It already had a big change since they rebooted the show in S4, to me FTWD ended with S3, watched it yesterday and I don’t have a problem with the ending, I’m satisfied.
I’m impressed the writers weren’t canned after this season. This show has gotten impressively bad
I have seen every single episode of both WD shows. I agree Fear has really gotten bad. It’s slow and unbelievable. DO BETTER.
I only watch Fear because I’m loyal to Lenny ( Morgan) because he moved from TWD. It’s difficult to watch both at times because of the changes but I will stay loyal to both because I need to see what happens. In my view I ever see the movies come to light I hope I’m wrong.
