Fear the Walking Dead will officially return for the second half of its fourth season on Sunday, August 12th, 2018 (and Monday, August 13th for the UK). This is nearly a full month earlier than last year, when Fear returned September 10th. The change is due to the fact Fear premiered right after The Walking Dead Finale this year, which had never been done before. AMC announced the return date on Twitter:
No one’s gone until they’re gone, but these episodes will be. Binge the first half of #FearTWD Season 4, before new episodes return August 12 https://t.co/o2zy5sRKs9 pic.twitter.com/6pDVSkajEW

The second half of the season will look completely different than the first. Gone are the dual timelines, which constantly switched back and forth between the time at the stadium and the present day. With the Madison mystery solved Morgan, Alicia, Strand, and the rest of our heroes will look to find new meaning in their lives. Along the way they’ll discover new friends and foes who present new challenges.
