Skybound’s new Invincible Universe: Doc Seismic Attacks and Invincible Universe: GDA Combat Training are scratching a major itch for Invincible fans eager to dive deeper into the comic and TV stories and characters. Staying True
“One of the absolute key challenges that we realized instantly was staying authentic to the look of the show and comics in the move to 3D,” says Hallberg at the 3:38 mark, including unapologetic fists, blood, violence – and sometimes failure.
The Leveling System
Doc Seismic Attacks is not intended to be an easy game. But, as Matt Hoesterey explains at the 5:23 mark, players can count on a little help. “You want people to get pretty far into the experience, but it might take a couple of tries to get through. To help them with that, we have a leveling system built into the game.”
Seeing Is Believing
“It’s about making it feel pretty seamless and making it feel like you’re really in that world,” says Rogers (at the 7:39 mark). “If you’re gonna go hide inside of a shield alongside Atom Eve as you’re firing at something, it needs to look right. It needs to be the right color.”
Catching a Train
“There was one spot with the train that had been crashed. How do we make this work within Fortnite?” Kuchera explains just how the team solved this problem at the 8:11 mark.
A Veteran Voice
At 9:26, Rogers names the voice talent on Doc Seismic Attacks, including one actor whom longtime Skybound Games fans may find familiar, since he also voiced a character in the Telltale Walking Dead games…
