With over 120 teams competing in the All Out War Game Jam, it was a difficult task to narrow it down to just 10 finalists. We decided there were several games that didn’t quite make the cut but deserved recognition, and so now the honorable mentions are available to play online!
Check back as we’ll be announcing the grand prize winner, picked by Robert Kirkman himself, on December 2nd!

The worst kind of soap opera, amidst a zombie apocalypse, as realized by The Grateful Zed.This game really stuck out to us due to its complex ideas about relationships and its ability to tackle personality conflicts. |

I had a lot of fun building Tanxis.
It’s not perfect but It shows how complicated things can get in a week. I spent most of the first week planning, doing 3d modelling, level design and texturing. The second week I spent a lot of time on the vehicle controllers, AI, the respawn system, menus, and dozens of tiny things I didn’t even think of when I built my first plan. I had to cut a few things out (it was originally going to be a capture the flag style game) but I found the finished game really fun.
I had one friend describe it as single player tank MOBA, where in actual fact most of my inspiration came from the 1995 game Return Fire.
It’s the first game I’ve ever released to the public. It won’t be the last. I’ve already got something great lined up for when I can pry myself away from my day job.
I can be found on twitter at @rDunfee.
Thanks to all of you awesome people who put this on. I’ll be ready for the next one.
I’d also like to thank everyone who made this game jam possible. We were very short on time but Cris and I are such big fans of the comics/games/tv show-we felt we had to take part!
If any of you are interested you can read more about what we went through here:

Really looking forward to playing the other games (Tanxis looks great Ryan!), will book a night this week to go through them all with a nice drink in a comfy chair 🙂
I made the game known as Dog In A Mech. It was inspired by the DCS A-10C Warthog simulator game, where you have to turn on all the subsystems of the A-10C Warthog before you can fly it. So I’m like “I’ll just make a fully functioning mech simulator in a week” which it obviously isn’t, but pretty close. Fairly close. Instead of sitting in the cockpit and flipping buttons, you’d be 5 foot tall and have to climb all over the cockpit to turn everything on. I’m pretty happy with it, despite all the bugs.
i’m @hell0jed on twitter.
