No Steam = no buy!
I agree….
It will be launched in android?
Would the final season be available for mac? I noticed that season 3 (a new frontier) and the final season are on steam but only available for windows:( Also, is there a way I could purchase season 3? I only have a mac and it is not compatible with it so i can’t buy it from steam:(
Can i buy The Walking dead Season 1, 2 and 3 on Epic Games, or is it only Final Season, you will make more Money on Season 1, 2, 3 and 4
I don’t understand, why so many publishers or developers are going off from Steam and they do their own store with their own app (in this case joining the Epic Store). I see that it can be about fees, but for players, I think one or two stores with their own app it’s OK. Anyway, I’m curious if Episode 3 or Episode 4 is going to have Steam achievements? For me, I’m not gonna have anything else than Steam.
It’s a pity that so many people are trying to rip off people offering them steam key for The Walking Dead: Final Season for about 60$. How much will developers get from it? Not many, right? Cant comment here as anonymous. 🙁
Actually those developers aren’t leaving Steam. They’re being “bribed” or bought off by Epic for exclusive deals / rights for their stores. What Epic is doing is not competition. What they’re doing is creating a mini-monopoly on PC for their own greedy agendas. Steam and GOG are actual competitors on PC as they focus on making their platforms themselves better for developers and consumers instead of just buying off exclusive rights to only sell games on their stores.
I bought all the Telltale games including The Walking Dead series on Steam. Millions of other people did. That’s how they became successful in the first place. I was planning to buy the final season as well but now that its not on Steam, I won’t be buying it from anywhere else. I won’t be dealing with a store that creates monopoly on PC by forcing people to use their store by buying exclusive rights. I won’t be supporting their store who at one point said that all PC gamers are pirates and thieves and that they would not make any games on PC, only making it for consoles since that’s where the money is at. Neither will I deal with a public company that is owned 40 percent by this Chinese company called Tencent who are collaborating with Epic and have complete disregard for people’s privacy. If this game ever comes to Steam, I’ll happily buy it. Otherwise, its a no buy from me.
Since all twd games have been removed from the Steam store. Where can I buy season 1,2 or 3?
I’m not one of these “no steam – no buy” guys. I buy games on Steam, on Gog, on Itch.io and sometimes I buy even a EA game on Origin or a Blizzard game on battle.net. However, I won’t buy “The Final Season” on Epic Store. I don’t like the lackluster consumer support, I don’t like the lackluster refund system, I don’t like the lackluster community features and I damn sure don’t like their way of pushing on the marked by throwing out money on every third-party(!) developer to get their games exclusive. So thank you, Skybound for saving the game and I’m sure you invested a lot of time, creativity and money to bring it back. However, sadly I’m unable to support your business decision here and therefor I decided to give the last season of a franchise I very much like a permanent pass here. I will just have to watch the plot on Youtube, sadly.
So nice that Epic support development of the final season for Walking Dead. Can’t wait to play 4 episodes.
No gog or steam… dont buy
I bought played and loved all three previous season of the walking dead on steam. I was going to buy season 4 when all the episode were out. Now I’ll never see the end of Clem’s story because I refuse to buy season 4 on epic. I despise Epic’s business practices of sniping out developers and games by waving a cheque in there face and saying you can have this if you only sell though us. the only people who end up suffering is us, the consumer, unfortunately we enable them to do it by just giving in and buying these game when they do this. I understand that this is a different situation, they funded this game after Telltales miss management but that sentiment rings hollow to me when you choose to deprive a section of your audience the conclusion of the story you’ve told over 4 games, simply because someone gave you the money to finish it with stipulations. had Skybound and the development team started a Kickstarter or GoFundMe to finish this season off right, I would have happily payed to see it finished (as would have many others I’m sure). But as it stands now I don’t think I’m ever gonna see the ending of Clem’s tale.
