I wonder if Daryl being captured is the REMIXED version of the event in the comic where Aaron and Eric come back from a recruiting trip with one horse and Eric having been stabbed. Very excited. And with FTWD, it will get hear even faster.
Eric was already stabbed on the show and Aaron said he wouldn’t let him go back out and asked Daryl to take his job as a recruit
I think Eric was still recovering from the ankle injury, in the show. In the comic they help a lady out, and at dawn the next day she stabs Eric and steals Buttons I believe. I just meant maybe a REMIX with Daryl. He gets back and tells Rick: ‘No more recruiting, it is too dangerous’
Awesome trailer… but very little of it reminded me of the comic. It appears we are going much MUCH deeper in the community vs rick aspect other than it being quickened like the books… can’t wait!
I completely agree but we have to remember the trailer is only for the first 8 episodes of the season? And also, I believe in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Scott Gimple basically said that the first half was created just for the show and story purposes with what they’ve missed from the comics, then second half of the season will be following the comics.
These SDCC trailers are always the whole season trailers. They’ll come out with clipped trailers that cover the first half of the season later on.
I feel like last year, the SDCC trailer only covered 6 episodes. It definitely didn’t have any Alexandria.

It’s only been a little over 2 months since filming. I doubt they’ve gotten half way through the season. This trailer probably takes scenes from the first 5 maybe 6 episodes
Usually even less than 6. Very sure that the SDCC trailer for season 5 was only the first 3 episodes, they wrapped up the hunters in episode 3 and the only ‘post-hunter’ footage from episode 4 in the way of the little teaser clip of Beth. Season 4 i cant recall honestly but Season 3 was the same, only the first 3 episodes. Its probably safe to assume everything that happens in this trailer takes place in the first 3-4 episodes tops.
my wife read a post from scott gimple and the trailer was comprised of shots from just first 3 episodes and were mixed in way to confuse audience about what’ll really go down…typical advertizing IMHO. Still, looks to be an awesome return this 0ct. but man what can they do to top the first scene of season5!?

I approve. I didn’t want the internal conflict in Alexandria to end too soon. Looks like it carries at least a few more episodes. I want to see No Way Out and We Find Ourselves storyline over a few episodes. Would love to see references to Negan and ???Jesus? by end of first half of season. What’s with the half second shot of Heath? C’mon man, he should have gotten at least a a few seconds of screen time.

Super excited. I’ve watched it on a loop since it came out Friday. Looks like the first half of the season is going to keep us all on the edge of our couches and I “Can’t Hardly Wait” to see what Ethan Embry is bringing to the table–always loved him. I’m going to go watch Empire Records right now!

I’m a bit busy with FEAR at the moment, so I’ve only watched it “countless times” instead of the more usual “continuously”.
It seems quite good though. (English understatement)
