At the end of tonight’s episode, Inmates (season 4, episode 10), three characters show up, and even though you may be unfamiliar with the comic, you can probably tell from their hero’s entrance that they’re kind of special. So who ARE these people (without giving away too much)?
Sergeant Abraham Ford
Played by Michael Cudlitz
Abraham is a military man who faced some very dark times immediately following the out break. He had a wife and child but they’re not longer in the picture. What happened to them? Hopefully we find out as we learn more about Abraham on the show. (Or find out in Volume 10: What We Become)
Abraham is a soldier on the look out for a commander, and Rick provides that after some time. Abraham is loyal, strong, and some times temperamental.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
Abraham’s increasing bond with Rick and his violent past. Oh and his way with words. Yes, you will love Abraham like the comic fans do.
Eugene Porter
Played by Josh McDermitt
Eugene Porter, High School science teacher, possible genius, mullet-bearer. Yes, he has a reason for the mullet! Eugene is a little shady, and kind of a sloppy sad sac, but ultimately proves critical to the groups’ fate.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
That radio Euge is carrying around. Salvation? Eugene’s moods and motivations could be something to pay attention to.
Rosita Espinosa
Played by Christian Serratos
Abraham’s lady, for now. Rosita serves as an emotional center for Abraham. Not a lot is known about Rosita’s past, but she’s compassionate and strong.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
Her relationship with Abraham and her caring nature. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Rosita play a larger role in the show than in the comic.
One of the things we’ve seen with the show is characters entering and exiting differently than they do in the comic. What do you guys think the future will hold for the TV versions of these 3?
ABRAHAM !!!!!!!!!!!
I think we’ll have Abraham in the show for a while.
I’m hoping so it looks like he me have a pretty big role in the next episode.
I think Eugene plays a major role in the plot, both in the TV show and in the comics, he’s in for the long haul.
I think Abraham is an important character to the story, but his importants to the plot might not carry over to the show, I love this character, but I think they might kill him off earlyer than expected. Then again, look at Tyreese, fans of the comics might know what I’m getting at.
I think Rosita will probably get knocked off before Abraham.
Dude we shall see if negan cuts off his shrived little dick lmfao!!!
Abraham was my favorite character from the comic, The Governor was my favorite on the show. Pretty awesome how right after the Governor dies on the show, my favorite comic character comes on board!
where can I find the comics?
Amazon’s a good place for getting the softcover volumes & the hardcovers (which is what I’m reading). I’m currently trying to find a good online mail order subscription as my “local” comic shop is an hour away & doesn’t ship.
Cudlitz is quality. I hope/think he’ll be around for multiple seasons. Anyone interested can check out his best work in Band of Brothers and Southland.
I dont read the comics, but i know these are key characters. I also know tiger-bearing ezekial is a main character. when is he coming? seeing a tiger on the show would be freaking sweet.
He won’t be coming for a long time.
Gerrrrr. I really want to see shiva. im starting my own graphic novel series, though im still debating a name. it is post-zombie-apocolyptic as well, but it is more of a teenagery kind of group. it is honestly waaaaayyy different then walking dead comics, so im not sure that the same fans of THESE comics will like mine, but we’ll see. The main difference is it is a bit more appropriate for teens and tweens. however, i would say the youngest to read mine ought to be 13. It’ll be a while before many people see mine.
If Eugene’s story line stays the same as the comic, I’d be interested (if they are together and alive at the time) to see how Tyreese, Daryl, and Carol would react to him when they find out his secret. That is an unknown dynamic, and I could see any of them changing things around. Carol especially, “for the greater good”.
Is he good or bad?
hopefully good
cant wait to find out more on sunday about this people and when well or well they get bite when the came in at the end i thought it was the army i was like thanks godness
and twd cheaters are bang on with these
