Man, you volume readers have been missing out! But now you get all of the ALL OUT WAR goodness in one big chunk!
Here’s a gross simplification of what happened in this volume:
Rick, Andrea, and Carl grow tighter.
Rick and the Survivors launch their attack on Negan’s base.
Negan thinks he can turn The Hilltop against them. No such luck.
Rick uses Governor tactics against Negan and draws in a horde and then wrecks the fences.
Our group splits up to attack Negan’s outposts. While Rick and Jesus are successful (although Eric dies), Ezekiel is not. He loses men. His right hand man, Richard, dies and Shiva dies protecting Ezekiel. Ezekiel’s confidence is shattered.
Gregory returns to The Hilltop after betraying them. Maggie knocks him on his ass and takes control.
Holly, taken captive by Negan, is returned to the group, hooded and restrained. Too late, the group learns she’s been turned. She takes a chunk out of Denise’s neck and Negan’s men attack with grenades, blowing Heath’s leg off.
Jesus is awesome as always. Dwight turns on some of Negan’s men and kills them, without betraying his double-agent status to Negan.
Maggie and people from The Hilltop arrive in time to push Negan into retreat.
Denise is able to save Heath, even though she’s been bitten.
Negan still believes he’s won given the damage he’s dealt to the Alexandria Safe Zone…
What did you guys think?!
Did Negan really deal a crippling blow?
Is Ezekiel down for the count?
How do the Survivors mount a comeback?
Is Shiva REALLY gone?!

Man this volume is sick 😀
it’s pretty dreadful that Shiva had to go, but she is not coming back. If there are any more images of Shiva it will be those crossing pass the remains. Loyal to the end.
Negan was deadly in this volume, trowing grenades without considering the lives of innocent people.
The GOVERNOR is a puppy in front of NEGAN. Negan can fuck the governor and his entire army 100 times a day.
Negan is the greatest villain , he deserves a MEMORABLE death
This had to be the best volume so far. I think Shiva is gone but not forgotten. Loyal to the end. And as for Ezekiel, the king will not rise to power again but i belive he will give his ultimate sacrific . To his people for their safety. Hes ready to die for what he lost. now with Negan building his army up and implementing bio-melee weapons, his next strike will be a huge one to the core of the survivors, but this is what they do. Its who they are. They dont die, they ARE survivors. Negans got a trader in his mists and he has more supporters. He will realise that soon enough. I cant wait for the next issue. This is my passion, my love, and my life. I live, beath, and i will die a true fan of this work. Thank you to everyone that makes this possible.

Any chance that some of the character from the TV show will end up in the comic book? Would love to see Daryl immortalised in ink!
T-Dog immortalised in ink :p
The answer to that is for you to get a Daryl tattoo..
Best book cover ever!
There certainly has been a lot of build-up to the upcoming fallout. I’m honestly hoping that Negan survives. There really isn’t much of a difference between he and Rick as far as their leadership qualities go, and, if it wasn’t for the complete lack of social grace he has toward his own people, I would be tempted to choose his survivalist philosophy over Rick’s. The farther along I follow the story the more convinced I am that there are very few good times left in life for Rick. He seems to be losing much of the focus that he showed early on. Perhaps a new, real leader is going to emerge from the ranks soon? Carl is an obvious choice since. He’s grown up in the broken world and has strikingly different fundamental ideals about surviving than his father, but he does maintain that social standard that makes a person likable. Maggie’s role at the Hilltop came as a welcome surprise. She’s a strong character and perhaps Glen’s death will bring even more of that out than we’ve seen recently. Or…Just maybe… Daryl will finally show up in the comic riding Merle’s bike, kill Negan, and then kill Rick? I’m looking forward to finding out.
Thanks for the great story..
Phenomenal volume! Been holding off so I can attack it in one big chunk, but now it’s far too tense to wait, so single issues it is! Rick is really becoming the man Jesus described, and seeing him leading the survivors to war is great. Each character grows throughout each issue, but Rick is on fire. Ezekiel’s arrogance came up tops, as was expected, but it was good to see the vulnerable human aspect. Negan. Hot damn. Negan is fucking excellent (totally proper use of the cursing). Genuinely cannot wait.
SHITTING PANTS. FUCKING SHITTING PANTS.
i wish i could read it but i cannot go to my comic book shop until a few days to pick up my copy. Can’t wait to read it .
I was sad to see Shiva to die but she save Ezekiel life. I feel the next comic is going to be epic. Not that this one is awesome. By the way when Negan dies. I hope he dies alot slower then The Governor. I like him but I want to see him burn for some reason. Also the reationship with Ezekiel and Michonne should keep Ezekiel the will to fight. All and I love this comic and cant wait for the next one.
What an intense issue!!!
