Tonight The Walking Dead returns to television for a second, suspense filled season and Comixolgy is having a half off sale on Skybound’s The Walking Dead comics. Can life get any better? We think not! But, some lucky fans at the 2011 New York Comic-Con might disagree! Those who were able to make it inside the halls of New York City’s Javits Center on Saturday were treated to a panel of Walking Dead cast members producers, effects artists and of course Skybound’s own Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead comic book.
The panel, moderated by Chris Hardwick, the comedian and host of The Walking Dead’s new after-show Talking Dead, discussed expanding the show past the first season, make-up effects, character relationships and, of course, weapons of choice in the event of a zombie apocalypse.
Even if you couldn’t make it to the panel you can still watch a a special sneak peak of of the upcoming season (Spolier Alert: A major character suffers injury!)
The Walking Dead returns with a special 90-minute premiere tonight @9/8c on AMC followed by Talking Dead, a live after-show about The Walking Dead @12/11c with host Chris Hardwick and special guests Robert Kirkman, James Gunn and Patton Oswalt.
And don’t forget to check out Comixolgy’s half off sale. Sale ends 10/16 at 11 pm EST so hurry!
I hope this makes its way to Robert. I just wanted to say a long-overdue "thank you" for the kindness he showed to my daughter at the Baltimore Comic-Con a couple of years ago. Like any con, it was hectic and crazy and yet…Robert managed to find the time to talk to a kid for a few minutes about her favorite title at the time, Astounding Wolf-Man. (Now it's Super Dinosaur.) He was a real gentleman, and clearly a dad in how he handled the conversation. I stood about twenty feet away and just let her do her thing as a budding fangirl. The comments about NYCC Family Day brought this back to mind, and I could not let another day go by without finally acknowledging my debt to him. Me and mine will always be big fans and supporters — good luck tonight with the second season of Walking Dead!
This film is about nothing.. If it were about freelance writer it would be more interesting to watch it
