Maggie and Magna arrived at Commonwealth while Pamela tried to take back her community. Before we begin this new conflict, here are our fresh character Power Rankings for the Walking Dead Issue 190.
(Previous Power Rankings: The Walking Dead Issue 189)
1. Rick
Poor Rick, he just wants everyone to get along. He safely escorted Pamela away from a coup, helped protect everyone from the swarm, and even calmed Mercer down all so that Pamela could return and misunderstand the whole situation. But what will Rick do now that she has declared a mini war against him and his people? Just wait until next issue…
2. Pamela (+1)
Pamela really channeled the other Governor in 190. Even though Maggie and Magna’s arrival was NOT an attempt to usurp her, Pamela could use an excuse to rid Rick’s people from the Commonwealth once and for all. And now she has one…and now we wait.
3. Michonne (+2)
Since Mercer has no clue what he’s doing we’re going to return Michonne back to her rightful spot in the Top 3. This issue, she used her power to get past the guards and stop Elodie and her friends from getting killed. And Elodie’s friend is right – she is a f*cking badass.
4. Officer Mercer (-2)
Mercer…what are you doing?? Did you think any of this out?? Sigh…even though Mercer is kind of effing this whole thing up we have to give him props for trying. We can only wait and see what will happen next.
5. Maggie (+1)
Maggie must have used one of Daenerys’ fast-travel dragons to go from Hilltop to Commonwealth so quickly. Either way, we’re thrilled to see Maggie back in action with her friends.
6. Carl (-2)
Carl’s only getting demoted because Maggie arrived and Michonne reminded us just how powerful she is (how could we ever doubt her?)
7. Magna (+3)
If Pamela channeled her inner Governor than Magna channeled her inner Gandalf. That horn is amazing! We’ve seen it before to direct walker hordes, but there’s just nothing more epic than leading a swarm of walkers with a ram horn. Sound off in the comments if you think it deserves its own spot on the list.
8. Eugene (+1)
Eugene and Stephanie miraculously escaped the walkers and made it back to Rick at Commonwealth juuuust in time for the herd to show up behind them. Thankfully, Eugene’s warning helped Rick prepare for an attack that would have been worse than the Battle for Winterfell. For that, Eugene deserves a minor promotion.
9. Princess (-2)
Princess helped our heroes immensely this issue, but we have to move her down to make room for Eugene, Magna, and her glorious horn.
10. Jesus (+1)
Jesus has the experience required for this abrupt conflict between Rick’s people and Pamela’s.
11. Aaron (+1)
Same with Aaron – hopefully they can take Pamela down like they did Beta. But something tells us this will be different than anything they’ve faced before.
12. Tara (-4)
After breaking Mercer out of prison it’s unclear what Tara will do next. Hopefully she’ll fight Pamela side-by-side with Rick and our heroes.
13. Siddiq
Siddiq will also be extremely helpful in this fight.
14. Yumiko (+2)
We’re happy to move Yumiko up now that she’s joined our people at Commonwealth.
15. Elodie (+1)
Elodie’s getting a bump for TRYING to fight back, however foolish it was. We’re just thankful Michonne was there to *Negan voice* shut that sh*t down.
16. Sebastian (-2)
Sebastian’s only getting demoted for being less involved in this issue than before. Expect to see him again next month.
17. Lance
Since Lance is still caged up we’re keeping him at the bottom of the list, but things could change very soon.
On the Bubble: Stephanie, Maxwell, and Heath.
That wraps up our Issue 190 comic character Power Rankings! What did YOU think of the new list? Who do you think will rise and fall in next month’s rankings? Let us know in the comments!
It’s Laura, not Tara.
Good list I think Lance is understated – if Pamela dies, they will need someone with administrative skills to run the Commonwealth. If Rick also dies, he may be the person the people of the Commonwealth would trust most to lead them when compared with Maggie and Magna’s “invaders” or Mercer’s “fascists”. And if there’s a stand-off, he and Jesus/Aaron are best placed to negotiate and de-escalate.
