I was asking myself the same thing. It looks like him, I hope he doesn’t die, he seems like an interesting character.

Yea I feel like we’re gonna leave sith a cliffhanger of the whisperers storming Alexandria and wrecking shit. Then next issue, which is 25 cents and is called conquered, could continue the wrecking of Alexandria, and people escaping and dieing, cause at that point it wouldn’t be a war anymore, it would be a conquest, so that way we would have more time for the battle of Alexandria.
Im hoping thats not the case
It was promised to us that the characters would have drastically different lives FIVE issues from now, If they are still living, five not six. They also have already said “deaths comes early and often”.
Lets see, but I will be pretty dissapointed, they have to end everything in the whisperer War, it is just underwhelming. At least end the battle in Alexandria please.

Well, I need something more to grab me & keep me in anxiety mode for the next issue or something to pull out that strong bit of emotion that only the best of fiction can do. I don’t know what happened but my enthusiasm took a hit. I have to go back & read last month’s issue just to remind myself of what happened or what was said & who these names are that you guys keep bringing up.
Conclusion of the arc, anyway. 🙂
Goodbye Negan and goodbye Rick. (I hope I’m horribly fucking wrong)
The way Kirkman works IF he ever kills Rick it would be an iconic issue number. In my view the whole story is Rick’s, the series ends with his death.
I think the preview has done well not to give away too much, the cover for issue 165 has ruined the next story already for me. As I said before I think Eugene has led the Saviors to their door all the while Sherry is Stephanie.
Looks like William and the Kingdom might be over run by Whisperers then its hit Alexandria.
I dont know if Negan will get over the loss of Lucille, he looks ready to give up and maybe let a walker take him. But that also looks like he maybe ready to go kill Beta, I don’t understand why he was beating Beta on the back when the bat broke. The head always go for the head.
I need a Beta figure, come on Skybound!
I Actually think Kirkman is trying to step off the Rick-story, and go more towards the restoration of community, and the evolution of the communities in this world.
I Agree that something might happen to William, so that Zachary can take over.
Negan will totally lose it in some sort of way and kill Beta and a lot of Whisperers. I Think after Rick dies, Negan saves the day and he will find himself the new leader of Alexandria, since he saved everyone. Maggie, Carl etc. will never accept this and try to do something about it, but The Saviours will hunt them down.. But that’s only my guess… let’s see what #162 brings us
With no once knowing what Beta looks like under his walker skin mask could he just slip into one of the communities or is he already one of the community and we don’t know. The height of the man is the only sign

Let’s get that Negan-Beta rematch!
I’m so nervous for Negan, if he dies I will be so upset. He’s the best character in the comic imo and he would leave a massive hole. I think he’s gunna go down in a blaze of glory to take out Beta
And whats the difference of his death to other characters? His death wouldnt develop anyone. Everyone hates him.
I was really expecting some high profile deaths in this story arc and so far apart from Lucille and Gabriel there’s been not much else.
Is this the issue when it all happens?
I think yes we will see a rematch between Negan and Beta but the outcome I think will leave us wth not 100% knowing that he is dead, which will lead to the fact that no one knows his face as a perfect escape. Or he kills Negan and there is no doubt, Michonne and Jesus are still out on the battlefield which are two big characters in danger in the middle of the fight, as well as Dwight and Magna.
Rick and Andrea were safe for now playing house and drinking cocoa but Alexandria is the next target after the Kingdom
Is it me or is all of this fighting going to just lead to them leaving to Ohio .
I think there are other stuff influencing the storytelling now… Stories must be inclusive and contemporary, that’s why we have people from different races more commonly now. The thing is, next steps in the story should take that into consideration. So we are short of seeing a woman leader in a villain role… I know there was alpha but she didn’t last long and guess what, she possibly died because got careless for romantic reasons… My point is that this whisperer war ended up being male driven in the end… So there are still possibilities to move the story forward without seeming formulaic. I guess Michonne is going to take over the kingdom somehow just like Maggie with hilltop… Rebuilding the world (again) would be pretty hard, maybe they’ll have to star walking again to find some other establishment… The story is that of the Grimes family, so it ends in Rick, or Carl or his children. I don’t see Negan dying and regarding Rick, just let me quote Sherry: “I believe in Rick Grimes”… By the way, Sherry won’t even know what hit her after Rick takes on the saviours.
I truly believe that Andrea will pass in this issue, I hope I’m very wrong though. But I believe that The Saviors coming after them is a good thing because they will clear out the rest of the walkers and whisperers that have invaded Alexandria. But I believe that this will continue to be their home and that they won’t be forced to leave.
Does Negan have scoliosis? Why does he stand that way?
