Umm… Yeah, they are actually trying to take down the whole community.
Yes, Hogg Head, the whisperers main goal at the moment is to take down all the communities. But I feel like the herd on the battle field is a distraction and one of the communities is already in danger.
Well, I speculated about this in the discussion for #159. If I were Beta, I would send the herd to storm the Hilltop, because they definitely know its position, while we are not sure if they know about the Sanctuary and the Kingdom. And I think that this can really happen, also #161 cover gives some hints. The war now moves elsewhere, Whisperers lost the first round.

Well similar to the Whisperer War Part 1 cover, I think this has a bit of symbolism. There is a sword behind which would symbolize that he will be “stabbed” in the back and Lydia is forced to choose a side. I’m guessing Lydia chooses the Whisperers and in a way betrays (back stabs) Carl.
What a damn great issue! Intense action, yet reflective moments about the walkers being human. Maggie’s rejection of Dante is fitting and I’m happy heart belongs to Glenn (esp. after the S7 premiere. Still not over it). I’m also fearing for Hershel Jr.’s life — please don’t take him away from Maggie too! Lydia blowing away that Whisperer…Gah, can’t wait for the next issue! 🙂
