The Walking Dead #155 Preview

I’ll give ya that, but keep in mind that Negan is all about authority (Saviors were on bended knee when we first saw him enter the Sanctuary)… that thing with Holly seems like a power play to me. And he’s definitely got some self contradiction going on… there’s a frame in there where he’s threatening Rick with letting some Saviors “run train” on him & when he goes through the lineup for Lucille, he tosses out a suggestive “what I’d like to do to you” to Michonne. I always thought that he possibly could’ve had a “no rape” rule for the Saviors that didn’t apply to himself; that fits his personality & his MO. Saying a phrase like, “WE don’t rape” could be like an adult telling a child, “We don’t say bad words” when in fact the adult does & the rule only applies to the child…. they’re simply swapping pronouns in that annoying snarky way people sometimes do. As for any conflict with Alpha, I think in Negan’s mind, Rick is still the bigger threat because he is still in control & Alpha may be the key to overthrowing him. He could give the Survivors what they want (Alpha’s blood) & make them question their loyalty to Rick, whose strength is in his support. Just my thoughts with respect for yours.
