yeah you’re right, after a war there should just be more fighting and explosions and guns and shit hell yeah, why bother developing new characters and also showing the change the old characters have gone through, that’s just a waste of time
It wasn’t this boring after the governor was killed. Kirkman managed to develop a new plot and characters after that war. Plus this is two years in the future. We already know that things rebuilt and can handle what’s going on given there isn’t another negan
After the Governor was killed they fled the Prison and had to survive on the road, many of their own dead or separated.
sorry, Kirkman doesn’t think like those writers who create comic books for kids who only like actions and doesn’t want character/plot development.

oh, right. Maybe there was but not as bad as what happened before. Imagine, 4 communities are now working together, doing patrols and stuff within that bigger territory they have, which minimizes that threat..well except of that zombie herd that’s starting to look bad.
I agree on the recent covers but I do like Issue #129’s cover a lot and these next few (Except 133) seems promising, but the only way to make ’em AWESOME is if the one and only Cliff Rathburn does it. He live downtown, y’know. No. I’m serious. He’s LITERALLY right across downtown from where I live. I’ve gotten some issues signed from him. I love it! I’m hoping on interviewing him later!!! Let’s hope he can show me some panels for future issues!!! 😀

I the time skip by itself has had PLENTY enough excitement by itself to warrant interest, sounds like you just don’t care anymore.
The story is fine, and it’s evolved. You stick with it or you don’t.

That would be so lame! I was disappointed with the show when Martinez told The Gov what happened to Shump. Robbed me of an “aw, man!” moment.
I was actually looking forward to seeing Shumpert get some air time and some lines .
I was, too, but certainly not as much as Martinez! His time was way too short!
Martinez was a good character also. I didn’t see his death coming like that it was a shocking moment . I started trusting Brian for a bit I thought he was a changed man .
I never got to where I could give Brian an ounce of trust! I think he genuinely cared for Lilly & her daughter, which was something new, but I think he would’ve cast them aside like Andrea if they were to get in the way of things!
Wanna know why Shumpy was pronounced dead? He was actually supposed to be in Season 4 but they just never contacted his actor and that really pissed me off! >:(

I wrote a letter for 129 concerning that and how it would be weird if issues 1-126 saw so many deaths and we miss two years (roughly the same amount of time as 1-126 give or take) and not one person died. For the sake of realism that Kirkman has always portrayed, someone had to go.

I skipped that thread too. Probably all tricks and twists to throw us off. I’m just rewatching the whole series for my late night TWD-fix these days.
Once I get the DVDs, I usually spread the eps out until the new season premiere. New DVDs to be delivered around the 1st of Sept., I believe.
ME TOO! I can’t even count how many times I have watched this series from beginning to end. Spacing it out properly to get to the end of the last season right before the new one starts is an art form!

Ah, well, I could run out to the local Walmart but it would mean standing in a long line of ghetto people & paying a little more.
My Walmart isn’t even that full of people. The largest amount of people I’ve ever seen is on Black Friday, but other days are like 50-80 people and we have 7 out of 10 registers open, too.
In my city, Walmart is basically all we have. Ours may have 20+ registers, but even on holidays, you may see 5 open. It’s pathetic, especially since Walmart runs the monopoly on shopping & doesn’t seem all that concerned with a good shopping experience & the unemployment rate!

Virginia is out of Tornado Alley, so the odds of that happening are slim, but not impossible. That’d be a bitch of a way to die 4 years into the apocalypse.

They’re FAR apart. Hilltop is a day drive from Alexandria, so probably a state away.
These two live in the Hilltop (They mentioned how mad Maggie would be about the horses.) but I wonder what position they’re in. Maybe one of them is with Maggie now? I’d find it hard to see her with someone else, but it’s been a long time since Glenn died now. ‘Might Change everything’ Either Negan gets freed or the Dead are evolving.
I highly doubt Ken nor Marco are in a relationship with Maggie. The reason why Maggie would be mad is they’re losing transportation and those horses are their best bet to transport, seeing that cars are no longer drivable, and Maggie to me would either be with no one or the Awesome Sutton. my prediction: These two guys are from the hilltop, they lead the herds that they’ve been driving around back to the hilltop. Hundreds of thousands of walkers are brought to the hilltop and surround it. Rick and carl are trapped after arriving. Negan has a chance to take control of Alexandria with Rick being gone. The fact that Rick resembles Douglas and is being thrown into a “no way out” situation makes me nervous. Douglas died in that volume. I can’t shake the feeling Ricks time is almost up, maybe not this issue, but definitely by the end of compendium 3.
Well, of course those two guys are from the Hilltop, that has been established since #128 and it didn’t really seem like they were leading herds when they found the horses and they were in Uncharted Territory anyway. And I don’t really think that the Hilltop would really be surrounded by the amount of Roamers like you said, please enter your name. If the Hilltop has the same sort of defense like Alexandria, or even better since they are a bigger community, those first wave of Roamers might be neutralized but I am on you with this one if they can’t handle the bigger waves. I don’t think Robert would make a “No Way Out” situation again, but I don’t think Rick’s time is up, he’s (Robert Kirkman) probably going to repeat the cycle like that but then either slowly transform into a very different, very cool new cycle or do it abruptly. Your prediction’s awesome, bro and hey, look, Issue 144 (The end of Compendium 3) is coming out in less than a Year and a Half!!! Woo!!
Can’t wait to hear what Negan has to say, I don’t think Magna’s stupid enough to let Negan go so quickly…but I’m pretty sure Negan cooked up the craziest stories just in case he was ever in this position. Remember Negan has had a lot of time to “think” and “plan” ….we all know he has something up his sleeve. This will NOT end well. AND I think there is a MASSIVE hoard about to hit one of the communities. I feel some crazy stuff happening very soon. CANT WAIT!!!

I think we’re finally going to get the natural disaster many of us have been yearning for, for so long! Could you imagine, an EF5 tornado that comes ripping through that Mega-Herd, picking them up and dropping them right in the center of a community. A proverbial “Walker-Nado” if you will. LOL Or, better yet, a ferocious flash-flood, that swiftly moves throngs of thousands of the dead, with blistering speed and crushing force, and then washes them right over the walls of a community.
Either way, the nearby Mega-Herd mixed with that enormously foreboding bank of big black thunderheads, creates a recipes for an undead-mega-disaster; the likes of which we’ve never seen!

And your point is…? In the 5 years in lived in Virginia, and the D.C. Metro I experienced several blizzards, a few floods(actually lost a house to a flash flood), a hurricane, severe thunderstorms with gale force winds, and an earthquake. So I don’t quite understand you’re logic behind the comment of-“But they’re in Virginia…”.
Oh yeah, also, for the record, since they began the record in 1951, in Virginia there have been 661 tornadoes, with 34 fatalities, and 876 injuries. With the most recent having been an EF1 that hit Cape Charles, Va on June 25th, 2014; leaving 2 dead and 1 critically injured.
So, case in point, they can most definitely, and have, experienced tornadoes in Virginia and the D.C. Metro, as well as a battery of various other natural diasters.
Weather has been totally freaky all over the place for several years now!

But now I realize, you were just pointing out that the gang resides in VA, not D.C., since we were all talking about, and asking meteorological questions about D.C. and not Alexandria. Actually, 2 years ago when I was actually living in the real Alexandria, Va we had a 7.5 earthquake. The epicenter was in Mineral, VA; about 60 miles or so from D.C. So yes, although rare, they can experience earthquakes in the D.C. Metro.

Sneaky Negan is best off telling mostly the truth (but with his own slant on it ;)). Like: ‘I was the leader of another group; Rick and I didn’t get along very well. Sadly, we did come to blows, but eventually we began to negotiate working together…and then out of nowhere that bastard cut my throat! But he kept me alive just to imprison me and let me slowly rot..’ He could even show off his scar while crying about how cruel Rick is. 😛
Then if Magna asked around, people would be like ‘Oh yeah, he was the leader of the Saviors and we went to war with them!’ It would pretty much ‘confirm’ his story.Then she’d be conflicted over who was the ‘good’ person, Rick or Negan. I personally don’t think SHE is going to let him out…maybe one of her group, though…
Also, I like the idea that we might getting a natural disaster (floods would be most likely I guess with all that rain…but I don’t know anything about the flood potential in the DC area XD) We haven’t had anything like that yet, well unless you count herds as ‘natural disasters’. ^__^

Well I’m tired of the “Change everything” ‘spoiler’. Of course it will. They’re going to let Negan out and he’ll cause all sorts of mayhem during the carnival/party.
Why has no one brought up that we’ve not heard mention of Michonne or Ezekiel??
That has been brought up several times in discussions. We’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that they’re saving Michonne, Zeke and the Kingdom for some sort of big reveal; because apparently things have changed greatly for them in the past few years. So, I wouldn’t expect to hear much until the issue when they re-appear.
I cant wait to read this issue.
