MTV Geek put together an article highlighting key points from Image’s recent press conference about All Out War and the 10th Anniversary of TWD. R. Kirks (as I fondly call him not to his face) touches on plenty of interesting topics, including his thoughts on killing characters and where All Out War fits in his overall story plans for TWD.
There’s a lot of good stuff, and here’s a little excerpt about what characters will be featured in the upcoming 12 issue arc:
“…there’s gonna be a lot done w/ Holly, with Heath, with Maggie (who hasn’t really been in the book that much since issue #100, as she was off on the Hilltop community). There will still be lots of Jesus, Ezekial, and Rick, but I’m also trying to bring out some of the side characters.”
Can’t argue with that, though we always want more Jesus.

The Saviors would trash Rick and his group in a real life war. If Neagan didn’t talk so much and just handled his shit Rick would’ve eaten Lucille and the community would’ve crumbled without leadership. Too easy of a steal.
Rick will get mind control over zombie and turn them on Neagan or some shit.
I think Robert Kirkman should start doing 4 issue mini-series (or 48 page specials) expanding the Walking Dead universe and it’s characters. I would love to see a Negan mini-series explaining how he came to be the leader or a mini-series on what happened to Woodbury after the Governor died (wouldn’t it be awesome to see what happened to Penny?) and what happened to the soldiers left over at the prison after Lily kills the Governor and leads the other soldiers into the prison. Another great mini-series that could be done would be to show what exactly happened between Douglas and Davidson and led to Douglas faking Davidson’s death and kicking him out of Alexandria. Seriously lets see some Mini-series with these questions answered!!!!
While I love the idea, I have to disagree. If they were making more stories we would have to get them from a completely different artist. They had to bring in a new inker just to push the content up to twice per month.
I never really thought of that and I agree unless the artist was like Tony Moore (which would never happen) I would definitely not like another artist working on the Walking Dead because Adlard’s work is what gives it that distinct feeling.
I like the idea, but for the Governor, there is already a novel (not graphic novel) about what led to Philip becoming the Governor and what happens to Penny. It is called “Rise of the Governor” which I think explains really well what happened to him and Penny and their small group they were with and how they end up in Woodbury. Also, another book whom I have not read yet (which is the sequel) is called “The Road To Woodbury”, so I want to read that soon. And there is yet another book which is the next book in line which either just came out, or is coming out very soon is called “Fall of the Governor”, which tells about how the Gov. dies, and what becomes of Woodbury. All of these books are co-written by the almighty Robert Kirkman, and horror story author Jay Bonansinga. Hope you read them too!
