Alexandria has been destroyed. Can Rick rally the other communities against Negan’s army?
Collects THE WALKING DEAD #121-126.
DANG! VOL. 21 That is a badass cover. I’m definitely going to buy that in the summer. I can’t wait for that to come out. So, what about the Hardcover Book 10?
It’s old Rick!!!!
Now I really think it is old Rick!!!!
I’m waiting for the third compendium (painful wait) but I’m VERY tempted to just get the hardcover books from now on.
I read each month, but collect the hardcovers too. They’re nicer and have copies of the covers, unlike the Trade Paperbacks
Me too. I like the hardcovers to share with others, too. The hardcovers usually include some extra art work as well. I’ve even been known to read a digital copy or two. Began reading in the early 60s–,Hunters arc. I like to read the letters section in the biweekly/monthlies.
I collect the Hardcovers, got the mail order issues for AOW, but going digital.
I’m trying to figure out what is in this persons hand . Cool cover .
Maybe a fence post .
Lucille..
Good guess but I don’t think anyone would keep Lucille except Negan .
True. Nobody doesn’t want to keep that weapon because that bat kills one of the main characters “Glenn”.
We will see 🙂
I can’t wait for the next issue . I have a feeling Negan may not die .
Same here buddy. Everybody can not wait for the next issue to come out. It’s going to be a huge hit. I want to see Negan turn into a walker. That would be hilarious to see.
Think about what the synopsis states… finding new ways to deal with the dead. I don’t know about you guys but I think that that’s a lever and perhaps it opens a hole in the ground or some other kind of trap.
That would be crazy good thinking and observation.
Thinking along Owen’s lines. If you look at the handle, there’s either a cable or a rope running through it…
The more I look at it the more I concur. A lever of some sort.
I’ll go with the lever thing. I was thinking that would have to be a mighty big pit & there would have to be someone manning that spot to pull the lever. How would they dispose of them once trapped? Somebody on slaughter guard?
I liked Morgan’s method of “clearing”. Just wait for them to impale themselves. There was even a little evidence of that being done at the prison.
Morgan had the set up .
Morgan would have been such a asset to the prison .
Really looking forward to seeing him again!
It’s not a baseball bat. The end is rounded, like a lever or a cane. There is also a cord sticking out of a hole suggesting there are moving parts on the inside.
Could be a rope which allows him to put it on his back…
I’m not going to say you are wrong, but why not just tie a rope around the bat? It seems like it would kind of complicated to drill the holes and run wire through it, plus hollowing out a portion of the bat would compromise the structural integrity if it’s being used as a weapon.
Its just a freaking Stake in the ground with some wire running through guys….lol, duh!!!?!?!!!
Is that a HAND on it?! OMG!
I think it’s just a fancy cane.
Ezekiel had a cane on one of the covers
Its just a freaking stake in the ground guys with some wire running through!!! Duh?!?!
You can stake deez nuts .
Muuahahahahaa!!!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO you told him
Lol you are hilarious man .
You are as well my friend we are dumb and dumber . We have the same sense of humor
It’s Negan’s baseball bat
what about a microphone ? to lure the dead into “trap”
Maybe a little stand up comedy .. Knocking them dead perhaps ..lol
Killin’ ’em softly?
Dave Chappelle would be great to have around.. What if he played Gabriel.
As long as he does the Rick James & brings in Wayne Brady! Especially Wayne Brady!! I bet that’s who snatched Beth!
Wayne Brady was too funny on that episode lol I have to go back and watch that now .
That is my favorite clip!
When I read your post it made me think of the Fugees song Killing me Softy … Thanks it will be stuck in my head all day lol .
It was Roberta Flack for me, lol.
I’m must Google her.
That was a nice history lesson.
I’ll take that over Fugees, sorry. Wyclef OK but that Lauren needs a SLAP!
How ’bout a modified Wii remote?
LOL that’s the best guess I’ve heard so far .
Not gonna lie, I’ve missed the old cover style for the past few months. The “All Out War” covers remind me of Star Wars for some reason.
Well, they’re both wars.
agreed, i was never a fan of the all out wars covers, they were great drawings don’t get me wrong, but i’m looking forward to going back to the pre all out war style
Don’t tell me #129 is spoiler because that look like Rick left arm.
meh, im not too excited to see the characters are old now…
The Saviors look like they are jumping for joy in the volume 21 cover!
Or maybe levitating…
lol, especial Negan.
the grass is lava!
Who’s on the cover? Based on the arm hair I’m assuming it’s a man. And he’s holding something with his left hand. Both Rick and Dwight are lefties.
Description: “Even now, they still find new ways to dispose of the dead.”
Some predictions say issues 127 & 128 will be flashbacks, prior to All Out War – that one of the guys on 127’s cover is Dwight before his face was ironed. But with the description above, I think we can put those theories to rest. The description “even now” alludes to this possibly being in the future, in fact.
And what’s in this guy’s hand? It doesn’t look like Lucille. The knob is different and it seems to be wrapped in beads instead of barbed wire.
Better cover…
Woah, why was my comment deleted??
Maybe Rick kills Negan and takes Lucille…
The weapon reminds me of a cork gun…
I think it looks like a walking stick or cane…
That’s what I was thinking
What a disappointing cover of Volume 21. The drawing is so lame…
Its a vacuum cleaner
It’s Mr.Eko!!
Is it Ezekiel ?
i think its a sword 😀
I did not know the walking dead was a comic and what year did it start
It was a comic since 10 years, the Tv show is adapted from the comic
The comic book debuted in October 2003. Then the show premiered on Halloween 2010. I had never heard of the comic before the show. I wish I did! lol
#128 must give up something we don’t need to see right now.
Oh, never mind…I found it!
Okay what is meant by “even now” and who is “they”
¡! Que buen dibujo animado ¡!
now this would harvest some walkers
that is epic in the real walker outbreak im so getting one
Does it bother anyone else that Rick didn’t leave snipers in place outside of Negan’s compound? Or at least a spotter?
Could be old Rick or an older Carl. Could just be somebody we don’t even know holding that lever-like thing. It would be very funny if they had trap doors the walkers fall into. Just pull the lever while they’re on the platform and let em’ fall. Haha
Walking Dead at the MTV Music Awards
OMG that person is holding a dohickey
So can Kirkman and you guys at Skybound just confirm that we’re gonna go through a time skip? Please ease my anxiety about issue 126 onward lol
My thoughts? The mysterious woman on the covers of 127/128 is Glenn and Maggie’s daughter. Kirkman is flash forwarding at least 16 years. This cover depicts an elderly Rick.
It looks like a modified Lucille (possibly modded by the blacksmith on hilltop) and judging by the left hand, it’s an aged Rick. Cannot wait!
Just curious as to how you judge this to be “aged”?
I suspect after Wednesdays issue, there is going to be a time-gap between issues #126 + 127. This is of course, pure speculation but that’s my theory. I suspect that after Negan’s inevitable demise, there will be a long period of “peace” which will undoubtedly be shaken up by newcomers as seen in the #127 issue’s cover. How long a time though, I’m really not sure. Aged by a Year, maybe more. I can’t imagine a reason why the survivors would leave these settlements any time soon once the war is over.
Sounds logical. I’m on the fence about the time warp. I feel that whatever direction Kirkman takes this in, he’s not going to disappoint.
I’m unsure about the length of time passed within the issues, I suspect there could be a Year or so. To bring Carl to a more mature / independent age so that he will start to really shine as a character separate to Rick. (Who will sooner or later meet his end.)
Yeah, I’m absolutely confident we’re going to enjoy the results of the next few issues and that it may rejuvenate the series again.
Do you think Rick would get killed off before this happens, which would mean he gets killed off this Wednesday? That’s the only thing about warping the time…seems like Rick would not be included.
I cannot see Rick dying during this. I understand your reasoning there, but once Negan has sustained that assault, I’m sure the rest of the Saviors will be taken out pretty quickly by Jesus and snipers.
Also, most of the Saviors are not on the best of terms with Negan and would probably take this opportunity to side with Dwight.
If, Rick’s actually poisoned by the arrow then he could just be delaying the fever and could die in this issue, or through other means. But, I can’t see Rick leaving the series quite yet.
Though, the arm in the picture is quite thin, and the pink on the elbow could suggest someone younger. Could be Carl.
I’m sorry, but I just don’t feel that a huge time skip is possible. At the rate the walkers have decayed in just two years, what would be left after 15 or even 20? Bones?
Exactly! I swear Some people don’t even read the same comic book as us.
surprise, surprise, Ricks arm grew back…
Im thinking like this. The War has lasted for week’s. Thats A Lot of noise! A lot of shit blowing up! And a lot of gunfire! Other than the small group that attacked Negans camp, we havent seen a herd since the days of old. Its long overdue and completly understandable at this point in the story. What better to bring together these post war communities than the Dead?
