One of the coolest aspects of my job is dealing with Skybound’s foreign licensing. For those of you that don’t know, The Walking Dead is pretty popular. And that popularity isn’t restricted to just the US. Currently The Walking Dead is translated into more than 30 languages in over 50 territories all over the world.
As we started moving into our new offices, I raided our vaults and found a ton of our foreign books for my bookshelves. I’ve always been fascinated by movie posters from other countries. If you’ve ever seen the original Japanese posters for Star Wars or Transformers: The Movie, then you know what I’m talking about. Seeing the differences in trade dress for something that you’re so familiar with has always seemed cool to me.
That being said, I’d like to show you some of these awesome foreign editions of The Walking Dead and Invincible. As I dig more out of the vaults and as more get published, I’ll show them to you here at Skybound.com first.
Those are cool, spanish being my first language I would love one of those just to experience reading it in another language other than english.
I have to speak espanol for my work, but have no schooling in the language. Los Muertos Vivientes (I ordered the first 3 integral volumes from Spain: over 1,800 pages of Walking Dead) and post-modern lit. in Spanish have been a huge help. Also, this is the first graphic novel I have ever been able to get into. I'm looking forward to the 4th integral volume in Spanish!
