So, I hope that Mercer leads a revolt after what looks like an announcement that Dwight was killed, but who knows it looks like anything could happen here. As for Magna, who is she calling on and why? This is interesting, maybe she is sending out a scout… Either way I can’t wait to see what is in store for the new year!!
Beaut of an issue again but now a 5 week wait. That extra week is always a killer.
Pamela having Rick speechify for her was a politically astute move. I don’t trust her but it certainly keeps him close.
I like the Princess scenes. Michonne/Rick too. And the all-male Commonwealth trip I’m guessing is going to cause more trouble than anything but I like to see these characters given something new to do. Also the Lydia and Sophia plot has been a bit stale recently but played nicely here.
Laura… ah, I’m really interested in Laura’s character. I wish she’d been around pre-#150 as I’d love to know more of her history with the Sanctuary cast. I’m really not sure where this Mercer plot is going. Is getting caught like this part of the plan with Laura? Or did Lance know to stamp down on Mercer because they were following him? I kind of want there to be more going on behind this but we’ll see.
Interesting discussion in letters about the timeline. In vol 26, Eugene said it was about three years since they came to Alexandria which was about a year after Rick woke up. It was late summer in #127 because they were harvesting and in #182 they were harvesting tomatoes so I reckon we have to be five years on from Rick getting shot, if not him waking up. Which still wouldn’t put Carl as a teenager but that’s another issue!
