There’s a new sheriff in town and she’s here to shake up our Power Rankings for Issue 176. See the new list below and let us know your thoughts.
1. Pamela Milton (NEW)
The Walking Dead has a new Governor – and her name’s Pamela. The leader of The 50,000+ Commonwealth complete with an army of brutes (not Stormtroopers) didn’t disappoint – she seemed poised, focused, and even a little charming. With how many protocols this place seems to have, it was surprising to see Pamela actually help Michonne find her daughter. Now, was it because she’s a lawyer AKA an engine that could fit into her machine of a community, or is she just that nice? We’d bet the former, but let’s see how this plays out.
2. Rick (-1)
As much as it pains us to do this, we have to move Rick down a peg now that Pamela’s in the picture. Sure, Rick still runs the show in Alexandria, but those are pennies compared to the 50,000+ community Pamela leads. Until something happens to her we’re forced to keep Rick at the 2 spot.
3. Michonne (-1)
Michonne was a complete badass this issue. We echo Pamela’s admiration that she kept her calm through all of those boring procedural meetings all while her daughter could be just yards away. Thankfully, her tenacity paid off and she was able to finally re-unite with her daughter Elodie. This sort of revelation could dramatically alter Michonne’s character trajectory.
4. Maggie (-1)
Expect to see more Maggie in the coming issues.
5. Lance Hornsby (-1)
Lance helped build out the world of The Commonwealth this issue. Thanks to him, we learned about work assignments, punishments, and other restrictions that painted this so-called paradise to be more of a work camp. However, he may not play a huge factor now that he’s finished his job of introducing everyone to the community.
6. Eugene (-1)
Eugene’s getting moved down because 1) Pamela is now in the picture and 2) he was denied speaking with her even though he’s the reason his group is even there. At least he got to finally meet Stephanie!
7. Carl (-1)
Carl wasn’t in this issue but like Maggie, we’ll see him and The Hilltop again soon.
8. Princess (+1)
The Princess is still making a big impact on this new community, so we’re moving her up.
9. Jesus (-2)
Jesus wasn’t in this Commonwealth-centric issue so we’re moving him down.
10. Aaron (-2)
Aaron also wasn’t featured – so its the same result.
11. Magna (-1)
Magna barely showed up in this issue, but we’re really only moving her down because of Pamela.
12. Yumiko (-1)
Same applies to Yumiko.
13. Siddiq (-1)
Siddiq was also quiet.
14. William (-1)
William still leads The Kingdom so we’re still going to keep him in the lineup – even though we barely ever see him.
15. Dwight
Dwight’s been awfully quiet the last 10 or so issues, so until that changes we’re keeping him dead last in our rankings.
On the Bubble: Maxwell Hawkins, Elodie, Lydia, & Sophia
What do YOU think of our power rankings following this second part of New World Order? Tell us in the comments!
Pretty fare. Although at this point Rick’s Power is quite restricted. IDK, I guess its about right though.
I would move Rick down another one. No way Rick will work with this new emperor but Michonne might do given that this woman has no doubt created a world that Michonne’s daughter can live in. That is a powerful tool Pamela Miltn has. Rick has not been seen for 3 issues (longest time without him in the comics) and I doubt he will be seen in this arc.
