As a writer on TV shows like Being Human, Agent Carter, and Reaper – among others – Chris Dingess is no stranger to high concepts. For those of you don’t know that totally inside baseball Hollywood term, “high-concept” narratives are typically characterized by an overarching “what if?” scenario that acts as a catalyst for the events that follow. Often, the most popular summer blockbuster movies are built on a high-concept idea, such as “What if we could cloned dinosaurs?” aka Jurassic Park or “What if there was a secret wizarding world operating all around us?” aka Harry Potter.
