HORROR, DRAMA
#194… okay, that is by far the weirdest cover ever. I love new characters and I’m excited to see another cop in the comic. I still reckon we’ll see Carl joining the force, hat and all, in or by #200. I also love the tribute to classic Rick but I’m not sure how I feel about a Rick lookalike debuting so soon. I mean, I trust in Kirkman but I can’t say the cover has me jazzed like usual. I can only think that they’re making a film of Rick’s life and “Last Shot” refers to the close of a movie shoot and this guy is playing Rick. That could be interesting and is about the only explanation I can imagine that’s even slightly credible.
And volume 32 bucks the trend for the second time in a row of having a different volume title from any of the issue titles. “Rest in Peace”… oh man. That should be the title for #192 (sounds much cooler than “Aftermath”) but I guess it could have been seen as too spoilery on the solicitations.
Loving Outpost Zero and Oblivion Song as well. Might need to check out Excellence. No Outcast though… can just tell #42 is going to be a killer cliffhanger with the Merge.
Definitely check out EXCELLENCE #1, it’ll give you a good taste.
