Holy shit I knew this guy was Kyle’s dad the second I saw him last issue. I couldn’t have been the only one right? I can’t wait to see what this character is all about. If season 2 is gonna be even the smallest bit accurate to these last several issues then we’re in for another incredible season. The more I read this comic the more I’m in love with Paul’s art and with Elizabeth’s beautiful colors. For such dark story, it’s great that the comic is still so vibrant and colorful.

Well Reverend Anderson you well and truly may have lost it.
This issue at first had me worried, Rev Andersons actions may have gone too far. What will happen with his character now? Will Kyle trust him, forgive him?
The father reveal was fantastically done, from when he was teased in issue #24 up until the “I’m your FATHER”…even during this issue I had the impression that he may be a new version of ‘The Devil’. This still may be the case. His motives still are not known. It’s going to be interesting seeing how the realtionship between Kyle and his dad proceed, and if it’ll affect Kyle’s realtionship with his daughter and Alison.
affect Kyle’s *Relationship with his daughter and Alison.
Kyle’s dad scares the crap out of me. Loving how the story is progressing.
I’ll set my dad on you!!
He’s a Jedi like his father before him!!!!! Except, y’know…more demons less lightsabers. Here’s hoping Kyle doesn’t lose a hand! (Yeah, I see you, Robert Kirkman) *points fingers at eyes and then back in your direction*
Seriously though, I’ve been preaching about how amazing and underrated this comic (and show) is as fervently as Reverand Anderson (minus the murder… DON’T DO MURDER, KIDS!)
I really can’t get enough of this story, and can’t wait to see how it’s going to evolve now with Kyle’s dad in the picture! Thank you for creating such a rich, gripping story and for keeping us on the edge of our seats in a way that feels rewarding as an audience. Keep it up! ?
I did not even realize that you did a Star Wars reference like I did. Awkward haha
This issue absolutely confirms my belief…Outcast is the best new story out there. My new absolute favorite. Love the story, love the art, love all the characters, love the mystery man reveal and love love love Reverend Anderson…What a nut!
I would love to have Kyle’s dad as my father. Be gone all my life and then BOOM! Knockin’ all the possessed heads and revealing himself without having to cut my hand off (a la Skywalker and Vader in Star Wars).
Great issue as always! 🙂
Now understand this, I love a family reunion but this is just ridiculous. BUT! Kyle’s dad “hyuken-ing” into the picture gave me just a little bit of respect for him. Just a little, he’s still an outcast to me (and probably Kyle).
This was a great issue. It sets up what is sure to be an amazing arc for the comic and definitely gives us something to look forward to for season 2.
I love how Kyle’s father says ” What if I had something planned for him?”. This line was the most important to me from the entire issue (Yes, Sidney was ‘waxed’ and Anderson got his “victory”) because it is clearly obvious to me that Kyle’s father is on a mission.
I can’t wait to see what Kyle is able to do once he harnesses his abilities, should be an awesome arc!
Kirkman gets better and better with every issue! When Kyle’s dad started kicking everyone’s arse you couldn’t help but get pumped! Still sad about Sid but I’m sure it won’t be the last of em’ but it’s definitely the last of his human guts! 🙂 I agree with the folks that have already left comments about the art as well! Very colorful in a dark world. Keep up the great work team Outcast, very excited about season 2 on Cinemax! Here’s to hoping I get that Brigade #1!!!
Stay possessed;)
