Outcast Issue #24: “No Turning Back”
Hey there, Outcast fans! OUTCAST issue #24 is out TODAY and holy cow what did we just read!! If you haven’t read the issue yet, go get on it! Here’s a preview of what you can expect but don’t go much past this or you’ll be in spoiler territory.
Previously: What was once trapped in shadow is out in the open… and it is about to overwhelm Kyle Barnes.
This month: It is time to say goodbye to someone… and hello to someone else
What did YOU think about the Reverend’s actions!? Did anyone see that coming?! Who was that stranger at the end? Lose your minds/discuss with us below. Best comment wins a signed copy of the issue!
Wow just….wow I honestly never saw that coming. Now I feel like the Reverends actions was that he was being pushed towards it, like Sydney was pushing him to kill him just to finish him off. Now his actions were wrong no one deserves to die even a monster like him. Now for the mysterious man at the end, I don’t think hes Kyle’s dad that would be to obvious. I think hes someone who’s seen Kyle’s mom grow up or the guy who’s told her about the demons and the outcast. So that’s what I have to say and again huge fan of Outcast
Sincerely, Grayson Yoder North Carolina
Best issue yet!Wow!! So much is happening and lots of big events. Love it!!!
It’s too late for me… I’ve lost my mind in the insanity of this issue.
Loved it! Was completely blown away. I could not believe the big reveal!! This book still proves itself and it’s power 24 issues in! Paul Azteca’s artwork is haunting as ever, and Robert Kirkman’s writing still builds the same tension it did in the first arc. Loved it!
I knew Rev. Anderson was going to snap. Faith and questions always push a man too far. But damn still sooo many questions. P.S. I need Kyle to stop being so gullible.
In a twisted turn of fate, the reverend is the one to spill his guts.
Most exciting issue so far, & another gorgeous cover coloring by Elizabeth.
I didn’t see that ending coming, & there are ZERO positives that can come of this. I’m thinking that killing the person doesn’t even kill the “demon”, but just kills the host. I wouldn’t be surprised if Sydney shows up again in some other form, just like we saw the demon that was in Joshua recognized Kyle from when it was in his mother. So, on top of not actually killing Sidney, the Rev is gonna be on the run, & this might strain his relationships with his friends.
The mystery man looks very similar to Kyle, so maybe it is his father, & if it is, maybe he’s an outcast, since that seems to be passed on through the family. What if Kyle’s father is an outcast that works with the “demons”?
So many questions; can’t wait until the next issue to find out the consequences of the reverend’s actions & how Kirkman moves this forward.
I like how your thinking, but I honestly don’t think its his dad because that’s to obvious. I also agree with your idea that Sidney coming back I truly don’t think he’s dead for good.
Holy F@$*! Kirkman you did it again. I went back to re-read from issue 19 to get the flow of the arc and boy was I Blind sided me with that ending! I always envisioned Kyle going over the top first, did not expect the Reverend to do so. I had just gotten through to explaining to my wife that there is not as much gore as The Walking Dead and the issue finishes with an image straight from its pages. For a while during this arc I thought that it was going to be revealed that Sidney was Kyle’s father but I don’t think that will happen now.
I also think it will be too obvious for this new character to be Kyle’s father and just not Kirkman’s style. Such a great story arc, begins with Kyle locked and ends with Sidney gutted. Unbelievable, I still don’t know what to do with myself now!!
How do we know if we won?, will you just send an email or?
Really took some guts to pull off that ending. Bring on issue 25.
I was excited to see the reverend get revenge for his scar and all the mental anguish, and I don’t see anything wrong with what he did, as I was thinking how easy it would be to just end their biggest headache by offing him, but now they lost their best chance at getting more of the answers that they need! Also, who is that new guy? I went back through all my old issues to see if I’d forgotten a bit character, but couldn’t find him. With the main villian out, he must mean more trouble. While I figured getting rid of the old man would stop their problems, clearly I was wrong.
