Previously: This is the one where Mark Grayson learns he has a son he didn’t know about. But the good news is… that son is AWESOME! Holy crap! One more issue after this until the end. We’re as sad as you are.
This Month: Final issue. Everything since issue one has been building to this. Nothing can prepare you.
So i have been reading monthly since issue 111. I picked up and read the entirety of 1 to 110 in a single weekend a few years back just before 111 came out. I loved every single issue. But this issue is by far the best issue. (Yes. Even better than 115). There have been so many of my favorite moments in the series. Every time Mark or Nolan told someone who the Viltrimites really were, every comic book shop moment, Battle Beast Vs. Thragg, and when i cried at the death of Eve, but wait. I turned the page. And of course. You mean man. Mr. Kirkman. I actually started having a laughing/crying/coughing attack as i saw her come back to life. And mark said it best. “Rad.” Anyway. I just want to point out that two of my favorite moments in the whole series happened in this monumental final issue. Not only did this issue further my belief that Kirkman is the greatest writer that ever lived, it also furthered my belief that Ryan Ottley is my favorite artist of all time, and that Corey Walker is at a close second. I cant believe you have ended this beautiful series, but at the same time, i cant believe you ended it in such a beautiful way. Kirkman brought back everything you thought you wanted to see and more. Angstrom Levy, Battle Beast, Darkwing, Art… exc…
thank you for a tremendous ride. Love to all who worked on this incredible series.

PS. Why did you make Terra so hot? They grow up too fast 🙁
The single best ongoing comic I have ever had the pleasure of reading. A fitting ending. The finality of it speaks of it’s honest intentions (while everyone is fully aware they can do anything with it at any point they choose in the future) It truly may be the best (intentional) final issue of any comic book I have read and that says something (to me at least). Everyone involved should be proud of their accomplishment.
What can anyone say really! It’s all going to be exactly the same, the book was a gorgeous, well thought out masterpiece and it sucks that it’s over. But this issue, this issue truly out the final pieces together and sent off all these beautiful characters in the best was possible. I bawled my eyes out when Eve “Died” of old age, it took me 10 mins to actually turn the page and see what happened! We watched Mark grow up since issue 1, and now, we’ve seen his children grow in the span of an issue, while seeing all the amazing work he and his empire are getting done. Really, and sincerely, thank you for this book. It will forever be my favorite, and I will never not choose to pick it up on slow Saturday nights.
Thank you!

Kirkman gave us the ending to Mark’s story AND the sequel series AND a spin off series, ALL IN THE FINAL ISSUE. I will always want more Invincible, but this conclusion brought satisfaction that I was not expecting to have. Kirkman is king. Long live the king.
What Can I say that hasn’t already been said?I started Invincible right before the Death Of Everyone . Once I started I could not stop by the next issue of Death Of EveryoneI was ready to read it! Seeing both Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley progress as artist pushed me to continue on the path of becoming a comic book artist. I even had dreams of filling the giant shoes Ryan and Cory left behind, but once I found out that Invincible was ending part of me was heart broken but the other part of me was excited to see how it would end. I knew Kirkman would handle it with great care and so I embarked on this journey to the end of the Invincible. Every issue of The End Of All Things was read closely and carefully cherishing every moment with a side of anxiety by the time I got to this final issue I wept seeing Mark grown and mold into the role he was meant to have seeing Markus become Kid invincible and the panel seeing Terra grow up made me feel like I was Mark at the moment watching my own daughter grow. I’m excited to see what other mediums the Invincible Universe will be end up in (hopefully a video game). I honestly can’t think of any words to describe how I feel so enjoy this photo of me reading the final issue of The End Of All Things.
“I hate to see her go, but I love to watch her leave.” ;D This issue is everything I ever wanted. Thank you. ❤️❤️❤️
Here is my love letter/poem to the greatest comic the world has ever known.
Violets are blue
Roses are red
Its The End of All Things,
But not everyone is dead.
Mark Grayson
And Atom Eve,
Through eternal love
Will conquer and achieve.
With his children
Markus and Terra,
The Emperor of the Viltrumites
Has created a new born era.
Last we saw Darkwing,
Was the Invincible War,
Kirkman brought back
Everything you thought of and more.
He travels through every portal
In search of his fathers greatest enemy,
Through the multiverse he goes,
he is son of Angstrom Levy.
She looks up to her father
A good fight at the very least,
Till death tore him apart
Long live Battle Beast.
On this day of love
Though some are filled with sadness,
Invincible has ended,
Yet it will live on with gladness.

Beautiful, just beautiful
Great ending to a great series. Invincible is the only series I’ve read from the beginning to end. Y’all managed to fit a whole war in the final issue! I’ll always hope for a follow up series with Terra and Markus. Thank y’all for everything.
My only question is did Mark ever come back and see his mom? I don’t think that was acknowledged. It was like he left Marky and Debbie and said he’d be back eventually, but then years pass and Marky tracks down Mark. It doesn’t seem like a Mark Grayson thing to do, to be all “I’ll come back and visit” then he never visits. Did i miss something?
I think he did visit, they don’t out right say it but there’s the conversation Debbie has with Marky I think when they are getting his costume where they are talking about how he broke Terra’s tablet and how Terra wasn’t use to having siblings and also later we get a panel with Terra complaining about Marky breaking her tablet and how she hates going back to Earth. So they at least go back one more time but after that it’s hard to tell how often they actually went back to Earth.
Good point.
Invincible has really been a great journey, and it really is hard for me to express how much this comic has meant to me. I just know that I’ll have this Invincible sized hole in my life moving forward and it already feels so weird knowing that I won’t be going to my comic book shop next month and the month after that to pick up the next the next issue and was sad to see it end but at the same time the ending we got felt so satisfying. This really was the end of Invincible or what we can say was Mark’s journey from a high school kid working fast food to the ruler of an entire race that goes across the universe anyone and everyone they can. But not only was Robert able to give us a satisfying end to Mark’s story but he also left the door open for more stories with Marky and Terra, and even if those stories never come I’m so thankful for the stories we did get and this amazing satisfying ending.
Fantastic finale. Of course left wanting more yet with complete satisfaction for what we were given. Plus now I am wanting some tacos ? . Well done and thank you to the entire Invincible team.
I came in thinking the finale could never live up to the expectations I had set for it. I’m happy to say I was dead wrong. That was a perfect ending to what is in my mind the quintessential superhero comic book. I love how he saved the world using his brains and his heart instead of his super powers. Only Kirkman could write an ending like that.
Loved the book and the final issue. You really covered a lot of ground and while I wish the story could keep going it was a solid end to the series.
I am looking forward to Oblivion Song and I will keep my fingers crossed for an Invincible Reunion Special down the road when you guys need to cash in!
Thanks for all the great stories!
