Skybound, the Image Comics imprint behind “The Walking Dead,” “Invincible” and more, wants you to clone yourself.
In advance of the publisher’s new comic book series “Clone,” Skybound has teamed up with BaM (Bradley and Montgomery) to launch a Facebook app called “Become a Clone.” In David Schulner and Juan Jose Ryp’s “Clone,” Doctor Luke Taylor discovers he’s just one of many clones in the world — and the “Become a Clone” app will make you one of them, unlocking exclusive content from the comic book along the way.
The first issue of Skybound’s new series hits stores on Wednesday (November 21).

App begins today and comic book series debuts Wednesday
The Clone Facebook app created by Bradley and Montgomery (BaM) celebrates the release of Skybound’s new comic book series Clone, debuting Wednesday, November 21st from Kirkman’s Skybound imprint at Image Comics. BaM, the Los Angeles and Indianapolis-based idea agency, creates campaigns, apps, destinations, experiences, environments and other inventions for clients. This Monday, BaM debuts Skybound’s “Become a Clone” Facebook app. In the series, written and created by David Schulner, illustrated by Juan Jose Ryp and colored by Felix Serrano, the hero, Dr. Luke Taylor, learns that he is one of many clones in the world. In “Become a Clone,” fans can turn their Facebook identities into a Clone of Taylor. In return, they will be rewarded with exclusive Clone content. Fans are urged to share the app with their friends as the more clones that are created with the app worldwide will unlock even more exclusives. The highest reward is a sneak peak at Clone #2.
In Clone, Dr. Luke Taylor wakes up one day, overwhelmed by impending fatherhood, only to discover duplicate versions of himself have entered his life in terrifying ways — and one of them just kidnapped his pregnant wife. Taylor must discover what these clones want from him and which, if any, can be trusted. This Wednesday, Clone joins the Skybound stable of inventive creator-owned comic series and best-selling graphic novels including the Eisner Award-winning The Walking Dead, Invincible, Super Dinosaur, Thief of Thieves, Guarding the Globe and Witch Doctor, which debuts Witch Doctor: Mal Practice on November 28th.
Schulner makes his comic book series debut with Clone, but is an experienced writer and showrunner for television (next up: Do No Harm). Bringing in accomplished comic book artist Juan Jose Ryp and Thief of Thieves’ colorist Felix Serrano makes Clone a joint effort in excellence.
