Fast Company has a series on the creative process, and as part of this, they took some time to sit down with Robert at SXSW to talk to him about his strategy for creative success. He talks about Battle Pope and how an experience at Wizard World led to him really hitting the gas on expanding his creative portfolio. Check it out:
Have to admit that I didn’t know what Battle Pope was about before watching that. Jesus as a super hero’s sidekick. Ok then. As the side kick of a womanizing superhero, no less.
I don’t know what I was expecting, but not that.
Having said that, Robert’s message, about diversification is real food for thought. That is, if I can stop myself trying to guess who the other creator was at the show…
Battle Pope! HECK YEAH! Sadly, I haven’t read it yet. Ugh…. I GOTTA READ IT!!!
Would someone be kind enough to tell me how to get ahold of Mr. Kirkman? I am writing to an individual on Death Row who has asked me to get him the “Battle Pope” books. The books must be ordered directly from the publisher. I went to the website and cannot order a thing. I CANNOT order these off AMAZON. This young man does not have much time left in life. The least I can due is buy him some books!
Very Nice!!!
