This Week in Skybound: Behind the Scenes of The Art of Invincible Season 1

Invincible Season 2 may be over, but the Viltrumite goodness continues year-round at Skybound. Last week brought us the Fortnite experience Invincible Universe: The Rise of Sequids. And this week, we celebrated the release of the new hardcover The Art of Invincible Season 1 with the show’s creative team (pictured above). We also got an advance look at the next superstar artist’s work on G.I. Joe, along with another legendary artist’s upcoming set of connecting covers for The Walking Dead Deluxe. Dark Ride #12

This week kicked off with a first look at the final issue of Joshua Williamson and Andrei Bressan’s beloved horror comic Dark Ride. With the fate of Devil Land at stake, and a human sacrifice to be made, Dark Ride #12 is sure — to borrow a phrase — to be legendary even in Hell.

Paul Pelletier Joins G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero 

The sumptuous draftsmanship of Marvel and DC veteran artist Paul Pelletier will soon be joining writer Larry Hama’s hotter-than-ever G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. And to whet your appetite, we’ve got a three-page preview of Pelletier’s debut on G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #306, along with its variant covers.

Sean and Jacob Phillips’s The Walking Dead Deluxe Connecting Covers

Another pair of fan-favorite artists are gracing Skybound with their talents as crime comic legends Sean and Jacob Phillips gift us with a series of connecting covers for The Walking Dead Deluxe #91-96. Preview what the father-son duo has wrought here.

This Week’s New Comics

The penultimate issue of Joshua Williamson and Andrea Milana’s Cobra Commander limited series landed in comic shops this week, alongside Invincible and Atom Eve cuddling on the cover of the latest Invincible Complete Library hardcover, Volume 5.

The creative team behind Skybound Animation and Prime Video’s Invincible celebrated the launch of The Art of Invincible Season 1 with a special panel and fan signing at Alhambra, California’s Gallery Nucleus.
