It’s hard to say what’s hotter these days — the weather outside or Skybound’s Energon Universe. The latest EU (and the latest G.I. Joe) title arrived this week in the form of writer Kelly Thompson and artist Marco Ferrari’s Scarlett. And we offered fans a look at the making of the book as well as an advance look at the next issue. Read on as we recap the goodness that happened the week of June 3rd in all things Skybound…
Closer the Distance
Osmotic Games’ bittersweet slice-of-life simulator Closer the Distance got itself a new story trailer this week, further whetting our appetite for its demo debut at next week’s Steam Next Fest!
This Week’s Comics
This week’s big release was, of course, the action-packed Scarlett #1, featuring the resident superspy of G.I. Joe. But we were just as excited to see Michelle Fus’s long awaited Skybound Comet title, Ava’s Demon Book Two: Aftermath (pictured above), Duke Volume 1 (collecting Skybound’s first G.I. Joe solo title), and The Walking Dead Deluxe #90.
Scarlett #2 First Look
And speaking of Scarlett, no sooner did its first issue drop than we offered a first look at Scarlett #2, which raises the stakes as our heroine’s secret mission continues, and Storm Shadow arrives on the scene!
The Making of Scarlett
Because we’ve got Scarlett on the brain this week, we decided to go behind the scenes of the hot new series with an interview with Kelly Thompson and Marco Ferrari, available exclusively on our free-to-join rewards program Skybound Insiders.
That’s it for this week — have a great weekend, everyone!
