Skybound Dominates “Best Comics of 2023” Lists

Skybound comics have been grabbing plenty of headlines lately by appearing on numerous “Best Comics of 2023” lists. The big story is, of course, the launch of the Energon Universe, with the Void Rivals stealth launch (by Robert Kirkman and Lorenzo De Felici) called “a stroke of genius” by GamesRadar+ and the “biggest success story of 2023” on the Off Panel Podcast by Publishers Weekly’s Heidi MacDonald. Both Void Rivals and Daniel Warren Johnson’s Transformers picked up lots of awards for best comics of the year (from the likes of The Hollywood Reporter, ComicBook.com, and The Beat).

Tillie Walden’s Clementine Book Two has received honors on the graphic novel front, from IGN, SKTCHD and ComicBook.com. Joshua Williamson and Andrei Bressan’s hit Dark Ride also earned a nod for best horror comic from The Beat. And five Skybound titles also made the list of Top 100 Comics of 2023 from CBR.
