You (hopefully) already know Simon Stålenhag from THE ELECTRIC STATE, the amazing alt-history sci-fi illustrated novel that we publish. If not from that, then you’ve almost undoubtedly seen his artwork somewhere on your social feed at some point.
Something really cool in his world we wanted to share with you guys is the recent trailer for the adaptation of his first book, TALES FROM THE LOOP, arriving April 3rd! We’re very, very proud to be handling the new US printing of TALES FROM THE LOOP and THINGS FROM THE FLOOD, which you can pre-order right now at those links! Those new printings will be on shelves available April 7th and July 7th, respectively.
Both books share tales from a small Swedish suburb sitting atop the world’s largest particle accelerator. Locals call it the Loop.
“If you put your ear to the ground, you could hear the heartbeat of the Loop: the purring of the Gravitron, the central piece of engineering magic that was the focus of the Loop’s experiments. The facility was the largest of its kind in the world, and it was said that its forces could curve space-time itself.”
